The subject line is probably self-explanatory, but I'll elaborate all the same.

I have noticed that many, many of the people who visit this site are interested in time/space (or "dimensional") anomalies.

However, the relevant threads are dispersed among various forums: some are in the "paranormal" section, others in "skunk works", yet others in the "psychology/metaphysics" forum.

Furthermore, some of the threads are HUGE (and thus difficult to read through), and often people looking for an answer to a specific question do not realise their question had been discussed - often on a very articulate and thoughtful level - in some other relevant thread.

Seeing that there is a forum for "UFO and aliens", for example (which is no more extensive a topic than dimensional or time/space anomalies), I propose that a special forum be created for the purpose of discussion of time/space anomalies, such as "time travel", "time slips" etc. - and reorganising (uniting) the existing threads under the same heading.

There. I have spoken.

I am glad you think so, Phlynx.
That makes two of us, then.

I'd be even willing to sift through the threads and find those that should be reassigned to the new forum (if it were to be created).

But I am sure it would be no major problem, anyway.
It's just a matter of perception.

I think there will be but it was removed in the future.

Sorry couldn't help myself. Pretty cool idea, really.

I like that idea a lot.

OK, according to advertising & marketing theories, the present voices represent the opinion of approximately 4000 people on ATS (1000 for each "voice").

Just kidding.

Bumping the thread just to make sure that people from all time zones get to see it. ;-)

Hey, I never know what to do with flags, anyway - but I am grateful for them.

Thanks for voicing your opinion, John - I hope it happens, too.

A new time zone is waking up somewhere - time to bump the thread again.

Seriously, I just wanted to give a thumbs up to all those who took the time to reply in this thread. Let's make it happen.

As long as I am here, I thought I'd make myself useful and collect some of the threads that should be reassigned to the new forum (IF it were to be created), so that the people who stray this way - and who are obviously interested in the subject - can find them more easily.

so, here they are (in no particular order):

Something has changed, timeline?

Out of time, out of space

Time slips, anyone?

The Versailles "time slip"

"Flattened landscape"

How can time only be an "illusion"?

Time loss or just an altered state of awareness?

Might be from another dimension or timeline

Time - looking back?

Can you change your time line?

Will time be replaced by a new dimension?

Retrocausality

"Time is of your own making"

Have you experienced a glitch in the matrix?

I am sure there are other relevant threads; these are just the ones I have participated in, which i why I remember them.
Feel free to add to the list.

Good idea

Hope you keep this bumped, OP, so that people see it up the top

Important topic and worthy of its own forum, imo

In fact, those with little to no interest in UFOs/aliens, politics, etc. might be persuaded to register and participate in ATS, were there a Time/Space Anomalies forum

Exactly!
I know because I am such a person: I have practically zero interest in the UFO/aliens topic, and I actually joined ATS in order to discuss time/space anomalies (or maybe just MY anomalies, who knows
).

Glad to hear from you.

I have come from the future in the form of Binary to vote yes to this new forum subject, and to ask you to please close the door to earth, your letting all the air out.

Ah well, that settles it, then!

And thank you, Cadbury - especially because I know you would probably be an active visitor of such a forum. ;-)

Any thoughts from a moderator/owner...?

(I have no dog in this race, as they say; and I would really dislike being perceived as pushy. I simply do think such a forum would be a good idea.)

Use what Skyfloating did to create the Psychology, Philosophy and Metaphysics forums as a template. Get him on board and you're half way there already.
