I just finished watching John Carpenter's They Live and must say it is the best film I have ever seen.

The movie is about a man who accidently stumbles upon an alien plot to control the world. More information on the film can be found here.

The movie very much parallels what is going on in our world today. After watching it I hit the youtube and stumbled upon an amazing analysis of the movie. It's nearly half an hour long and can be found in three parts.
