Hi all,

was reading spaceweather.com today and saw this very interesting clip which shows a Plasma Ejection from our sun.

The only difference is that this baby is going at a miraculous speed and its huge, and quite a different shape from normal!!

Im no expert on this stuff, but in the last few months ive never seen an ejection at this speed or this shape!!

Maybe some one with more knowledge can shed some light on how normal this kind of thing is. Phage?

Hopefully spaceweather will keep this link active for a while, as i cant find it anywhere else at the moment.

Very interesting...

From the site...

The blob does not appear to have escaped the sun. Indeed, it might not have been a blob at all, but rather a plasma wave traveling up a magnetic flux tube--and 'breaking' when it reached the top. Whether it was a rocketing blob or breaking wave, it shows that even the quiet sun is worth watching. Monitoring is encouraged.

Plausible IMHO...
