California Wildfire Was Arson; Homicide Investigation Begins

The fire which has burned 144,000 acres of the Los Angeles National
Forest, and killed two firefighters, is the largest fire in L.A.
County history - and has officially been classified as an arson
fire.According to a report by the L.A. Times, authorities have
launched a homicide investigation.

The massive blaze has been under investigation for days, with the
focus being on a road turnout along Angeles Crest Highway north of La
CaÒada Flintridge.

Remember when several paople here said it was TOO quiet?


I have noticed two things; when TPTB are up to something they either 1) calm the news and quiet everything or 2) suddenly create a number of "news" stories.

Now we have this huge fire which threatened La-La Land and our precious TV/movie industry. Also tailor-made was the recent drunken party scene covered by CBS in Afghanistan.

Anything to take the focus off 1) town hall/tea party movement, 2) anniversary of 9/11 - and the associated material lending doubt to the official gov't. story, and 3) the accelerated pace of bank failures.

Does anybody knows if the government insures their land against fire?

Just a curious thought that popped in my head when I read this.

It's a shame that there are people out there setting off fires... hope they aren't the same people fighting for greenpeace!!

A lot of Acres gone down there...

Of course it was arson.

It's the same story every single summer. They purposely set these fires every year, and it is sad that only few people notice.

They do call it "fire season", like it is natural, but it isn't. The weeds and grass are all dried and dead and it makes them easy targets at this time, but someone is out there setting these fires.

At first I thought it was just an insurance scam of some sort. Then thought about it being a fast way to get rid of all the dead grass and weeds at the expense of tax payers.

But now..... I'm pretty sure someone is purposely trying to bankrupt California. California has had to reduce firefighter forces to save money, because of the economy. Setting the largest fire in history means California is going to have to spend millions of dollars to put out the fire. Millions of dollars that California doesn't have.
