I went back to your previous quote:

It absolutely is not the case that people are growing weary of his policies. I assume, since it is the biggy, you are referring to healthcare. Fact is that for every poll you can swing to infer below average approval (and it's usually a Rasmussen Poll), you can find more that say the opposite.

It's really not, as many on the Left would say, a frenzy drummed up by the Republican party and Fox News. Fox News isn't much better to me and many others than CNN and to label this as something manufactured by the Republicans is to misunderstand the movement entirely.

Wrong. There is no organic "movement" here. MSNBC and all other left-wing news outlets aside, do your homework. These are carefully orchestrated with a ton of money. Healthcare is quite possibly THE largest lobby in Washington. This is NOT grassroots, no matter how hard the repubs are trying to show that Obama is not the only one that can organize at that level. And the genuine drones that are following this astro-turf are brainless and do not think for themselves. Listening to the things they say is evidence of that.

As usual, a Lefty got it totally wrong and misunderstood it. Surprise, surprise!! No matter how many tell you and the news media that they are not a part of some Republican conspiracy and that they are just as much fed up with the Republicans, you insist that it's some Fox News or Republican conspiracy. Trust me, it's not. I'm as fed up with the NeoCons as anybody else, and I don't trust them to lead the country any more that I do Obama and his team of Socialist/Communists.

I say "I" but I'm far from alone. This movement is NOT led by any news organization, insurance front group or NeoCon money. The people are telling you that they're fed up with both Obama and the rest of the clowns in power that have sold us down the river. You'd best listen, or be swept away by the surge of people who simply don't want to hear any more about what the Dear Leader can do for us. We don't frickin' care, we're pissed off, and you'd better heed the warning.

Wow... so the OP decides to start a thread in which he blatantly insults all Republicans, and conservatives, but after all his insults he gets off the hook because he says "but the left does the same"...like that negates every insult he threw at all Republicans...

But hey, not only that, since we were discussing in various threads and saw the evidence that what the Obama administration is dong is indoctrination, not just "teaching children stuff", and many on the left side of politics, and those who don't even have a side in politics agreed with the fact that this is indoctrination, still the OP puts all the blame on Republicans and the right in general...

But hey, even though the OP decided to do this thread, and obviously just to insult all Republicans, conservatives etc, he got no warnings just because he added in to cover his backside "but the left does the same"....

This is nothing more than another thread of political baiting, and just the venting of a member who obviously just wanted to insult all members who are Republican, or conservatives, yet still covering his backside by just addind "but the left does the same" or some similar comment...

I thought we just had some new rules to stop this very thing from happening.

Then again, this post goes to show that some member will find a loophole by adding some small comment which in the eyes of some might justify the name calling and insults..

I take it many of you were not around when Ronald Reagan gave a talk to the schools about the economy and the benefits of tax cuts do you? He was an economics major in college before he went into acting or politics and he gave a speech that went out to the schools where he talked about the benefit of his views on economics and tax cuts and you didn't hear what we are hearing today about Obama. He isn't coming close to talking about his political views like that. Many sounds like a lot of cry babies to me.

What is it REALLY that has some of so distrustful( more than usual ), angry and bitter. Is it Mr. Obama's color, name, intellect (we like our politicians dumb, I guess).

He will address the kids. They will forget about it after a week and nothing sinister will have happened.

I think that the right and left radio hosts are behind it all.

I PROPOSE WE SHUT THEM ALL OFF FOR AT LEAST A WEEK AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY DO NOT CONTROL US.

Ah, but at last, some will probably see a conspiracy in that idea as well.

I guess we should have elected the old white guy and the hot bimbo to keep the few happy and the rest of us amused.

I give up. YOU WIN. We should go back the slavery, child labor, gun slinging, women in the kitchen and not voting, oppression for minorities, witch burning live or die good ol days...

Who said anything about news organizations leading this?

YOU assumed a chip on my shoulder for Fox News. Where do you want to start? With Conservatives for Patients Rights (CPR) and their crazy radical liar of a leader? Or with Freedom Works? I can go on and on with a list of the rightwing associations fueling and funding this astro turf. Don't forget the very health insurance company money that's controlling the Congress, funding the movement, and loading the town halls with employees.

No sir... NOT grassroots.

Seriously, there's no evidence this is grassroots, but there's ALOT of money proving it's not.

ohh and by the way...

IT doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this is not organic. When it's organic, you get organic concerns and questions. I can list almost EVERY question that is asked over and over at each town hall. The SAME talking points raised by all of these groups!!! That's planned my friend:

- Will Obama really institute a Death Panel that will my grandparents?
- Why are you incurring a debt our children will have to pay?!?! (nevermind these people weren't concerned about the same previously)
- Obama is taking my freedoms!!! (I keep using this one because it's the funniest).
- Will Congress be forced to enroll in the government plan?

On and on... Astro Turf, please....

The Right-Wing Agenda for the Next Four Years

Folks, make no mistake. What is being manifested with issues like indoctrination is without a doubt the Right-Wing playbook for the next 4 years. It is completely political and aimed at stopping not the spread of socialism, communism, or any other "ism." Is is SOLELY to ensure:

1. Congress sways right in the next election, and
2. Obama becomes a one-term president.

For all of you jumping on the bandwagon, this has nothing to do with YOU. Repubs are not looking after you, caring for you, ensuring your prosperity. It's about votes.

Obama is EXTREMELY popular. He won a decisive election and all but destroyed the Republican party. Aside from some past questionable associations (which Americans have resoundingly said they do not care about), he's pretty squeaky clean. So the right has enacted Plan "B," what I like to call the "Hitler Card."

For the next 4 years, Obama will be painted as close to Hitler as possible. They will scare the bujeeezus out of anyone that will allow it. He will be:

- A Marxist
- A Radical
- A Communist
- The Anti-Christ
- A School Kid Indoctrinator
- Someone that can only survive by devouring your freedoms like cookies
- A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER!!! Not sure when that became a 4-letter word
- The catalyst of the Apocolypse!
- LIBERAL!!!
- A BLACK MAN! You mock, but that still works in some places.

And many others...

Since they can't go toe to toe on issues given their less-than-stellar previous 8 years, all they got is FEAR. And FEAR they will use.

Their plan is to make you as afraid of him as possible. Knowing this, acknowledging this as context, you start from a place of reason and intelligence.

I don't care what side of the argument you land on. If your coherent, I'm all for it. But do what I've been praying ATS posters would do, and that's elevate the discussion with facts, logic and reason.

I dont like him pure and simple. And if my kids dont like him then I will support their decision not to have to be exposed to him in their place of education. I think it fair to say "HE LIES". and quite frankly I dont need my children exposed to that, especially when this is a position they might some day aspire to fill. I dont like his policies, I am tired of this Obama reality TV show mentality and his fanatic followers who are so invested in not failing in this thing they have so invested themselves quite frankly freaks me out.

Well at least their not fainting anymore (can we please get this woman some water or juice)

Perhaps if you decided to participate in threads where evidence is given BY ALL MEMBERS FROM ALL SIDES OF POLITICS, you "might" realize none of this has anything to do with any "right wing plot"...

But of course, people like you decide not to do so, and instead just make more exagerations, and engage in more politcal baiting when some member decides to start a thread which is only trying to blame and insult Americans, and members who happen to be Republican, or from some other part of the "right"...

I wonder why members like you don't participate much except to play the political agenda.

every fricken thread on here is political baiting...

Everytime a Republican uses the word SOCIALIST as an adjective it is baiting.

You guys produce a mountain of fallacious threads everyday this been one in a sea
of over hyped BS.

This particular charge is ridiculous, children are not political, this is a one off event and it is focused on educational aspirations. Take what could be an exciting event for the kids and crap on it for your own agenda.

My parents didn't bitch and moan when Reagans "say no" campaign played on and on and on... My parents also thought Reagan was a pig, but in that instance he was trying
to influence us kiddies to make BETTER with their lives.

It is obvious you guys are intentionally politicizing everything... The problem is that it is quickly turning into a psychosis, better not loose control of it, could backfire.

This must be the biggest contradiction I've seen on ATS, and I'd like your help reconciling...

On one hand, you do not like Obama (presumably for his policy positions, etc. You don't say why, so I have to assume). Yet your handle and your signature extol a man that in many ways was very similar in ideology to Obama.

How do you reconcile that?

Oh please, now saying "Socialist" or "Socialism" is an insult?... Since when did that happen?... If a political candidate or president decides to implement laws, and program after program that is Socialist, I guess that doesn't make him a Socialist?...

There is a big difference between the insults the OP made, and calling someone a Republican, or Socialist... I happen to be a Republican, and I know that by just being called "Republican" that IS NOT AN INSULT, much less political baiting..

This guy is FULL of CHIT!

Everyday GLEN BECK and CO do their programs and lo and behold---

POOF!

All of a sudden half of America all comes to the same conclusion, Obama, he's, he's
INDOCTRINATING the kids...

The real problem is you guys are completely lame to it, clueless.

The real propaganda is what YOU GUYS keep watching and spreading here.

There is rarely any original thought,,, it is truly pathetic.

GROUP thought is the MAIN EFFECT OF PROPAGANDA - or maybe ALL 150,000,000 of you like the same color and flavor of ice cream also.

pathetic

Ohh, this is the anti-facts thread!... I didn't catch that. Kindly point me to the threads WITH the facts disputing the documented millions going into the defense of the insurance industry and the attack of Obama? Happy to respond to those.

Exaggerations? MORE exaggerated than calling the President a communist? Than claiming the President is trying to build his army by addressing school children? Pot calling the kettle black on that one. But I've come to expect that from you.

I wonder why members like you don't participate much except to play the political agenda.

Because members like me have lives... And members like me are actually fighting the "political agenda" around here, but become so fed up with people like you that are in fact truly inflammatory, that can't get past the "R" burned on your forehead.

And again, you just don't get that the thing fueling this is the distrust and dissatisfaction of the common working man with his government. The lobbies may be a part of it, but the grassroots efforts like myself have absolutely nothing to do with the insurance companies or the lobbyists. That's the thing you keep bringing up and the thing you truly fail to understand.

I personally, nor do most of my fellow protesters, care one whit what some insurance company thinks. I do not want my healthcare, nor my child, nor my business, controlled by some socialist/communist organization like ACORN or Obama. To say that I do not trust them would be an understatement. And, back on topic, to have them speak to my son about how he can help the Dear Leader is disgusting and repugnant. Fortunately, he has a mind of his own and is as repulsed by the Dear Leader as I am.

The thing you keep misunderstanding is the depth of the ire that many of us have for the current administration, as well as the disgust we have of the Republicans who constantly give in to them.

Again, I tell you that you do so at your own risk. And you'll probably come back at me with some bull#, which only proves that you simply do not understand.

Danang, I will take your personal outrage as genuine, and I respect, and would fight for, your right to express it, organize with it, and try and change the system, lefty OR rightie!

Don't misunderstand, OF COURSE there is genuine concern. You appear to be one of them. There are MANY more, I'm sure. But as a majority, as a major movement, my point is that the numbers are not there. Your concerns are not mainstream. The reach is over-exaggerated by the right. Example: Tea Parties. They're all but dead with the exception of the sporadic congregation. Unless you ask Hannity, or Rush, but these are done. They SWORE it was the next big movement. It wasn't. It isn't.

Don't play coy with me we are all men here.

You damn well know calling other Americans SOCIALISTS is an insult, our country
spent many decades fighting the advances of that system. Our educational system
spent over half that time demonizing the very word and notions behind it.
You guys use the word because it is VENOMOUS and stealthy at the same time.

Below is the link to RECOVERY ACT contracts available

Obama's contribution to the national debt

NOTE every single contract there is a bid contract, sub contracted to PRIVATE individuals and entities -

This is a fine example of the capitalist system - so why would OBAMA and alleged SOCIALIST put his name on something that functions in the most capitalist way possible?
