I think it's disgusting; this thread is an attempt to glorify lethargy and procrastinations. The web should be a common meeting ground a first step to find like minded individuals to then ban together in reality and actually get something done. Then in full circle the web can be used to glorify the deeds done in reality.

Its no such thing.

Its a discussion topic on the state of partisan politics in the US, and the increasingly hysteric rhetoric employed by the two main political parties and their followers in order to make their point and try and "win" at any cost, using propaganda and information warfare.

I'm sorry that you find such a particularly relevant topic "disgusting", or how you drew your particular conclusion.

Ahh! but isn't it. You say the wrong thing in here and may you not find yourself a "Political Prisoner" I think this is very much a war. It may not be in the sense you and I may be used to, but a war nonetheless.

Eventually we may be launching boycotts from places like this, considering the enemy would that not be an act of war?

Our Founding Fathers and karl marx are at opposite ends of the spectrum in ideologies. This is just a place where 2 very different opinions of how our country should be is in one place for all to see.

The antagonisms already existed in our society thanks to racism (both sides), religion, indoctrinating schools, the hippie movement, MTV, new ageism etc. This is just the place where those angers and differences are made clear which will expedite the civil war.

At this point, secession may be the best choice for all, each camp can live as they choose. It can be a social experiment, which ideology works best , a mix of socialism and capitalism which we have now , (not that great) true socialism and true capitalism.

I think that the blind adherence to political parties with little thought to their agenda is a big cause of the hostilites but there is no talking sense to those who won't listen so we either break off the marriage or go at it.....

You know... if we kept the federal government in check and adhered to the boundaries of the constitution, we wouldn't have this mess. Each state would have control of itself and they could have made their own communites rules based on the population of each states ideology. But no we gave that control to the federal government (they took it) so now we have to have a cookie cutter society that one "side" is not going to like based on who is in charge.
