I was in Germany last year to visit my grandparents..

I am very sorry for what happened to the Jewish community, I really am!

I just hope and prey that in 2004 maybe Steven Spielberg can accept the past and stop blaming innocent German Folk of doing something wrong!!

Im sick of anti-german comments by jews and non jews. Modern Germany hasn't done anything wrong. As for the soviet troops raping women, that is true, it did happen.

Its always easy to sit on the sidelines and ciriticise others...
yet all you can do constructively, is critise the first soldier that defends your countries weak way of life...

Obviously you know must know this otherwise or you would not respond to a legitimate conversation about something you happen to feel so strongly about...

stop hiding in the shadows and make a real statement???

Germany of today is one of the best countries in the world. Great economy ( holding the EU together ) , great football , the work they do in 3rd world is huge, HUGE, it is never mentioned in main stream media, but they are the ones building the countries after the wars. They are not just giving money and sacks of wheat, they are actually building the infrastructure, schools, economy...
I come from bosnia, I know what I am talking about. Most of economical and business projects in my country are german. Germany has the biggest number of refugees from the balkan region... not to mention all the turks living there.
Germans do learn a lot about WWII as stated in previous posts here, being nazi in germany is a crime, not a national pride.


So quit bashing this great country for something that has happened in the past. Better look at what they do now for this world.

All countries make mistakes, the UK has made plenty.It was the UK who started the idea of concentration camps at the begining of the 1900s. The UK history is covered in blood and at one point we controlled most of the world. But the modern UK is nothing like the imperlistic past. As my teacher once told me

You have the nerve to tell me about MY culture, and disprove me by "just doing a quick little search on the internet". Many Americans never really grasped the idea that everything they learn in the U.S. is not always true and that things are much deeper than they seem(Don't get me wrong, I love the USA). Don't even get me started on the U.K., how the Poles fought for them and were stabbed in the back.

Well atleast the UK faught Hitler and didn't let them march through our towns I asked for information about what German children are taught about WWII, stick to the subject or move on.
