it was purchased in 1867, admitted in 1959. now i'm confused, if it were a 99 year lease, then would its lease not have been up now if that contract began in 1867 or did the contract begin when it was admitted to the union in 1959?

(damn! sorry that was supposed to be in the secrets of the 20th century topic, just ignore this)
