How did you discover ATS?

I was searching the net looking for articles on survival, just been watching Ray Mears and I was mad about living outdoors + fending for myself like most 16 years old are about anything when they first see it.

While I was browsing I typed in "zombie survival" for fun, just so happens there is a thread like that in the survival forum.

Anyway I ended up reading the entire thread then innocently clicked on the General Conspiracy forum and went down the rabbit hole, one of the better things I've done to improve my knowledge.

I look forward to hearing your stories.

I was looking for info on area 51. Found ATS in a google search and joined the same day...my first discussion board.

I don't remember at all, but it's highly possible I was looking for information about Nessie or Bigfoot.

I really just don't remember. =(

I was doing research for the Lost Dutchman Mine.

I lived in AZ for a few years and this is the most fascinating local legend.
And the Superstition Mountains that they take place in is one of my favorite places, they are just surreal, strange, beautiful, and utterly fascinating. Hence their name.

A couple of years ago I was looking for information on the Denver airport conspiracy......I found it interesting at the time but now I dont believe any of it

Googled something I don't remember and on arriving said hmm, this looks interesting. I've always liked this sort of thing but to be honest didn't know a lot of it existed before ATS.

I didn't .
I was liberated by an ATS reconnaissance team from a secret underground facility located in a country that will remain nameless,that was engaging in secret programs involving Alien/Penguin hybrids being created to overcome the stranglehold of reptilian enslavement of the Human race.

For me? I came upon it and thought to myself:
"there go folk like myself... okay without the makeup,
but still... I'm no longer alone"

With that, I hitched up my nylons, put on a helmet
and pads and dived in here.
The helmet is in a sparkly green gradient from the back
of the head gear turning to a rather fetching deep crimson.

The pads belong to Big Percy along the road (thanks again Perc)

It's just great to be here.

The strange part is my friends all thought I was abit
'cuckoo' when I related my find. They mentioned that
it was full of hoaxes and wild claims about being aliens!

I told 'em... "They're friendly aliens and they're trapped
here or waiting to get sorted with The Galactic Fed"

Sigh... some folk just don't read.

Someone linked to a thread on ATS on Gaiaonline.com and I clicked it, and eventually came back every few months. It's an interesting site, though I don't subscribe to most (or any?) of the beliefs and prophecies on here.

I was searching the net for conspiracy forums when I found ATS. It was the best find of my life and I will be here for life.

I was searching for Area 51 info years ago and ATS came up.

Being a newcomer to the internet, I read for a month or two then joined.

Way back then I used to think (assume) a forum was a chat room.

How wrong I was lol.

I was looking for stuff to read about Area 51 too. I found the page that had a bunch of info on it and printed it out. I didn't know there was a forum. Then later on I came back and found the forum and joined up.


Reading a 50 page 9/11 thread full of great info and not much fighting..good times

Hey, i was going to put a thread like this one up...

I'm not lying when i say i was clearing out my cookies when i came across one i had never heard of before.... ats cookie to be exact.... so i thought to myself, whats that doing there? AboveTopSecret? I thought i was being spied on coz i had never seen ATS before and as far as i know i had never seen an ad for ATS on another site i had visited but it's possible there was an ad on some other site! Anyway i typed in my browser www.abovetopsecret.com and this site popped up with loads of forums and info on stuff i'm interested in so i decided to open an account

Bump it.

Second Line.

At uni, I was obsessed with A51 and UFO's, we even had a few fly over the campus! It was very very odd..

But looking about for more information, I stumbled here, and was very paraniod for a week or so, before I figured out what this really was!! Haha

Never looked back, love the site and all its lovely members!
