If there is a world-wide conspiracy, how many people are knowing members; I mean as a proportion of the population?

How do they recruit? It would take more than some sinister logo and a secret handshake to control the world.

I figure half of the subscribers to this page (maybe more) would join if invited, just to be on the 'inside' for a change.

Maybe this thread is a recruiting ad, and this is close as you'll ever get to an open invitation . . . .

Good question, but not likely to be answered. Besides, what do you expect? Contact information? Negative...

The real question is: how many of the members of ATS are *already* Illuminated?

Perhaps, Dr. Strangcraft, you are the only one who isn't. Or perhaps you're the only one who *is*?

But then, that's what you'd expect me to say...

My ex worked for Carrington. His co-conspirator was Kissinger - both Illuminati. Thats as close as I ever want to get.

The answer is ''Man''

Yes, the answer is indeed "man."

It was originally posed by the Sphynx to Oedipus, in Antigone's play oedipus rex.

See, my reply to you was an extremely subtle reference to that. Probably too subtle.

A-ha! But Albert Pike informs us that there is a better answer to that riddle, and by answering "Man," (i.e. by making the physical man the centre of his considerations) Oedipus doomed himself to the events that ultimately brought about his downfall.

The answer Pike hinted at is very much like answering a Zen riddle, though... it's not the kind of answer that mechanical logic can get you to, but it still makes sense (at least if I remember it correctly). Any guesses?
