As Americans search for the cure to what ails our health-care system, we've overlooked an invaluable source of ideas and solutions: the rest of the world. All the other industrialized democracies have faced problems like ours, yet they've found ways to cover everybody -- and still spend far less than we do.

I've traveled the world from Oslo to Osaka to see how other developed democracies provide health care. Instead of dismissing these models as "socialist," we could adapt their solutions to fix our problems. To do that, we first have to dispel a few myths about health care abroad:

I doubt if any of those objecting to the Obama health plan will read this but I thought at least some fact about health care around the world needs to be addressed. So many lies and disinformation makes me think the Insurance companies are the cause of the passionate feelings against the health bill.

People are scared of anything "different." If the media , or some politicians, or some red necks out having a good old time say it's "communist" behavior then most of the TV watching world is going to believe. Most of your middle of the road folks.

Most of the sheeple will get in line and be fed whatever the machine wants them to believe this week, this year, this decade and etc...

To the sheeple:
Status quo = democracy
something different that could actually be better = communist

Sometimes they will replace communist with socialist while meaning the same thing either way.

In Canada, income taxes are higher but health care is free and so is college and many other things that we have to pay for. This sounds simply like better business to me. A company that is run smarter.

If the US was looked at as a company.....my God, it would be laughed at and would have been bankrupt and non-existent after we were all sold to the devil known as the FED by Woodrow Wilson in 1913.
