You seem to be uncharacteristically contradicting yourself.
If she isn't going to be a candidate, would that not dispel the myth as to why she prematurely resigned as Gov?

Sarah Palin power is awesome!
This is why the *snip* toss and turn all night.
Clearly, a landslide victory is on the way thanks to Sarah.

Nope. Didn't see the post above mine. Was just responding to something you said earlier. I just started reading posts from where I left off.

So, what's the issue that we are supposed to discuss here?
From my guess, the OP just wanted to say how wonderful Sarah Palin is. Some of us don't agree. Some of you do. Therein lies the issue.
Every time we ask whats so great about Sarah Palin and what makes her such a great pick for POTUS responders either:
We've stated time and time again that this is not true (well except that I am a liberal). After defending ourselves we have requested AGAIN what is so great about Palin and we one, if not all, of the same 3 responses AGAIN.
So she quite the Governors office and now won't even show up to events that she committed to. But all these organizers are just lying. She never said she'd be there. Convenient.

Then I don't know how you could have missed it.
For starters, how about the fact that she is in such demand that se has received over 1,000 invitations to speak?

No, that is the issue that *you* want to discuss. And once you have created your first distraction, it leads to your second straw man distraction:
Every time we ask whats so great about Sarah Palin and what makes her such a great pick for POTUS responders either:
Seems to me that *you* are the one who is screaming that she wouldn't make a great POTUS and expecting people to defend her as worthy.
She will do good things for the country simply because she is not running for office but is using her name recognition to 'out' the liberal socialist policies for the disaster they are.
We've stated time and time again that this is not true (well except that I am a liberal). After defending ourselves we have requested AGAIN what is so great about Palin and we one, if not all, of the same 3 responses AGAIN.
I have stated several times that she has a good energy policy. I've been ridiculed because 'it won't save the world'.
I don't care about the world. I care about the US.
Want more?
-She is fiscally conservative, a fresh departure from the liberal spend-us-into-oblivion policies we now have.
But state general fund spending has risen sharply in the 21 months since Palin took office. The budget she signed earlier this year for fiscal 2009 spent $5 billion from the state’s general fund — a 34 percent increase over the budget she proposed for fiscal 2008 not long after taking office.
The increase rises to about 58 percent if the roughly $1 billion approved by Palin and the Legislature in last month’s special session for an energy rebate to Alaska residents and for other items is included.
The size of the budget made some of her fellow Republicans in the Legislature nervous, with two House Republicans saying they would have voted against this year’s spending plan had the GOP caucus not had rules in place to punish those who stray from the party on that one key issue.
-She is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. 'Nuff said.
What a load of bs. Another lie from you. She has not attended certain functions, but the reasons are many, even the fact that maybe her staff if inadequate and needs to be replaced.
But to accuse her of wimping out like you do is disingenuous and smacks of partisan politics.
That's not the issue *I* want to discuss. That was the issue many people in this thread wanted to discuss. Whether or not she's what her supporters say she is. I don't know why I have to explain this. You've been pretty active in this thread. It perplexes me how you assume I'm the only one with this problem.
So her only purpose is to go around the country and gossip about how bad the liberals are? That's her new career choice? Her "higher calling"? She can do Alaskans more good by doing exactly what many others are already doing?
Therein lies a big problem. You want a quick fix for a problem that will last as long as the Earth is around but you and people like Sarah Palin only care about the state of the world as long as your on it. To hell with everybody else.

You want a simple yes/no answer?
OK, the answer is NO.
Palin 'death panel' claim sets Truth-O-Meter ablaze
As a substantive matter, this might be the stupidest thing ever written about health care policy. Just two weeks after she implored journalists to "quit making things up," Palin has manufactured the idea of a "death panel" out of thin air. As Time's Karen Tumulty noted, "Yes, such a system would indeed be downright evil. Which is why no one is proposing anything like it. Let's repeat: No one is proposing anything like it."
Death Panel Myth Creator Resigns From Medical Board
Hitler's testicles and Palin's death panels
Therein lies the brilliance of Sarah Palin's death panels. Having heard this rumor countless times now, casual observers of politics (a.k.a. the majority of the American public) will come to believe that the rumor is true.
Lying, unfortunately, can be smart politics. And countering those lies by pointing out their falseness -- that won't be enough...
