LA Fire Threatens 'Major Communications Facility' (22 TV Stations, 25
Radio Stations) & Historic Solar Observatory

A massive 35,000-acre inferno is currently raging out of control inÝCalifornia.

The fire is threatening over 10,000 homes, 500 commercial properties
and 2,000 other structures and rained ash on cars as far away as
downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, spreading in all directions in hot,
dry conditions.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger urged those in the fire's path to listen
to authorities and get out.

Firefighters focused their attention on the blaze's fast-moving

Could be a cover to shut down the internet.

Obama has been saying that the internet is a "national security threat".

What with the town hall mtgs. going ag. the Dems, swine flu resistance building, information about FEMA coffin liners, special trains, etc. etc. this indicates that too much information is leaking out.

Just this past week there was a post indicating that another "cable mishap" could be in the offing.

Of course the fire is real. But what better cover is there than a "real" event?

Eh... less weird things have happened before. But MAE-WEST (not the actress) is located in Jan Jose.. not near Mt Wilson. MAE-WEST is the major hub on the West Coast.

Edit: Okay, not "THE" but "A" major hub...

Not likely. The Internet does not run on one 'communications facility'.
I also like how you made the leap from the obscure description of communications facility, to trying to shut down the Internet.

If "too much information is leaking out", as you put it, why would they risk convincing everyone this information is correct? As it stands very few people know of, let alone believe in these conspiracy theories discussed on ATS. It is far more simpler to silently go after individuals leaking out information. The rest of you are just labeled crazy, and the majority of people accept that. If you leaked something out, and you 'disappeared', who here would notice?
If you were like someone such as Alex Jones, sure you'd be noticed.
But Alex Jones is left alone because he has no credibility. Look at some of his videos on YouTube, and when he isn't trying to sell you something, he is screaming at the top of his lungs.

I think there's a bigger chance these fires were started by little green men, then the US government trying to take down the Internet.

My guess is it was arson...

The fire that started on Wednesday above the exclusive community of La Canada Flintridge was only 5 per cent contained but firefighters were hopeful that they would benefit on Sunday from slightly cooler temperatures, just below 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 Celsius). The cause of the fire is being investigated.

3 possibilities.

1) Activist - Targeting a "exclusive community" fits the meme.

2) Idiot - Plenty of those to go around... Nationwide.

3) Insurance Fraud - Can you think of a better way to get out from under a loan? Last year, when the market went south several fires popped up near high dollar neighborhoods.

Caveat: The Mt Wilson area is littered with fire warning signs... so it's always been a concern.

Is Yorba Linda affected by these fires at all? I have a friend (lost contact though) who lives in that town, and was wondering if its anywhere near that area.
All were told in the UK is that its in Los Angeles, I know that LA is a big suburb surrounded by mountains with many communities just on the edge of these hills, where is the fire exactly in regards to the City itself?

Thanks, I heard that there fearing the Santa Barbara winds will pick up tonight after a week of being slack, Firefighters said that if you thought the intensity from last night was worrying then tonight will be cause for concern. Especially in calling for mass-evacuations for communities not yet affected by this but at the lower slopes.

Massive California fire sparked by arson - Summary
Fri, 04 Sep 2009 02:41:37 GMT

Los Angeles - The massive fire that has burned more than 58,000 hectares around Los Angeles was sparked by arson, California authorities said Thursday. Two firefighters were killed while battling the blaze, and police have now launched homicide investigations, officials said.

"Arson investigators have concluded that the Station Fire was the result of an arson," Forest Service Commander Rita Wears told reporters at a press conference.

The fire is the largest in the history of Los Angeles County and has destroyed 62 homes.

The arson finding came as thousands of firefighters in California continued to make gains on the conflagration. The fire is now 38-per- cent contained with full containment expected by September 15.

Have you been to La Canada Flintridge it's hardly an exclusive community by socal standards, i mean its a beautiful place to live but there's far more exclusive communities in southern california?
