Boys grow up expecting slim women with large breasts, which is an unnatural look only achieved by breast implants. Girl's expect the guys to have huge penis's. What does this do to the mindset of our youth when they have to deal with how their NORMAL bodies grow

This makes no sense. How could they "expect" anything like that when they see real girls every day. They know what real women look like. Obviously, it's not as if the only women they've ever seen are on porn sites. How about a real reason instead of a contrived one?

Seeing women with big breasts in porn is no different then walking in to the supermarket and looking at all the magazines with beautiful celebrities with big breasts on the cover, or watching TV/movies that have sexual content.

We can't blame porn on unrealistic expectations of the human body. Those are EVERYWHERE.

I grew up being bombarded with this crap all throughout my life and I don't have any body image issues. This is where the real parenting comes in to assure children that some of the things they see in the media are not realistic.

What the hell did you do when a young teenager? Are you male or female?

Someone would always have access to a porno and then you'd get your mates round, be it a video or a magazine. You'd all then oggle at the sexy ladies. If it wasn't a porno, it would be a catalogue. Teenagers, especially boys with their hormones, will find anything about sex interesting and seek it out.

I'm male, never really got into porn really I always thought it was bit dirty, I guess i was a bit of prude growing up, not saying i didn't masturbate, just more likely the bra section of the NEXT catalogue rather than porn.

The fact now all you need to do is type porn in a search engine and you can basically see whatever sexual acts you like. I dont think its good for young minds to be watching beastiality and other such filth. But, if i had kids i would rather we could talk about sex rather than them getting a false impression off the internet. Most people don't grow up to look like them actors in these porn film with their enlarged body parts. Its not realistic.

Its not just the body size issue, kids can now access beastiality, gang bangs all sorts of possibilities are out there. It's a parent's responsibility to protect their children from these things and introduce sex eductaion when they feel the child is ready to handle it.

What the hell is an "immorality rate" when it's at home? Moriality is such an ambiguos thing and changes from person to the next, so this assertion of yours is quite invalid.

I beg to differ. Again, IMHO, the problem is that the TV and internet are influencing children. Not the parents.

I meant immorality rates in society anyways. Sorry, for the misunderstanding.

If you've left you PC in a state where "young minds" can easily pull up the things you've described, it really is your own fault, because kids WILL look for that stuff. It is so easy to lock down a computer, yet many neglect to do that.

Before the internet, it was your dads magazine/video or page 45 in the Biology text book. Nothing changes, only the medium.

If you leave your kids in front of the TV or computer unsupervised then, again, it really is the fault of the parents. People like to blame TV, but we all know who is to blame for letting them watch things in the first place.

And yes, morals do change from person to the next, case in point on this page alone. You and others think porn is dirty. I do not. Me and the missus enjoy a dirty movie every now and again, what is wrong with that?

Once you start down the road of imposing your morality on every one else, where does it stop?

Is there anything more sad than an adult couple watching porn together ?

It's pathetic

Then, having been aroused by watching OTHER people have sex, they go and bang each other, fuelled by fake lust

It's hilarious

How little respect a couple must have for each other and for themselves

And how ghastly that their children would be conceived because their 'parents' still had their minds full of two OTHER fake-writhing, fake-groaning bodies

For a kid to learn he/she was the product of porn-generated lust .. rather than their parents deep love and respect for each other .. would be sufficient for that kid to want to kill itself

Alright I wasn't going to chime in, but just to be fair here.

I have a 14 year old. And he watches porn. If he could find anything that allows him to masterbate anymore than he already does, he falls in love with it. Now my question is. Guys, isn't that what you all did when you first hit puberty?

Now my daughter didn't when she was a teenager, I think it's different for girls, or maybe I never found out about it. Either way it worked out that way.

Now I will say that in some cases exposure to pornographic material at a very young age can result in what we call porn addicts and those type of people, but it's a matter of talking to your child about the content.

Obviously I don't allow him to do it when I'm around and have grounded him on several occasions for having it on his hard drive, but it's not going to stop him from persuing his interest of the female body is it?

So I educated him on what porn really was, and how it was to be viewed and explained that real women to not act that way and he would probably never find one that one. If he did, she wouln't be with him long.

So in closing, it's the internet and if as a parent you aren't smart enough to keep tabs on your kids activities and talk to them about the issues instead of having a hissy fit then just be happy they aren't doing drugs.

You probably mean well and who knows, you might even believe what you've written

which basically was that parents should accept sex-raddled kids in preference to drug-using kids

Gee, such high standards

Heaven forbid parents might want their children to be slightly more highly evolved

after all, the kids are just future breeders from the sound of it

like monkeys, dogs, cows

Yeah .. let them masturbate and stare at other people having fake sex for profit

keep those kids' minds down in their groins, that's right

those are the standards that parents believe to be 'normal, natural'

Natural for whom ? Cows, pigs, earthworms ?

NO ! 'natural' for the parents ! Because THEY did it too .. and look how great they turned out .. they're so great they believe grinding groins is what kids should be looking at and thinking about and masturbating over in what should be their childhood .. in preparation for the day when they'll be legally grinding groins

But that's ok, isn't it ? It's that good old animalistic behaviour that's kept humanity right where it is and where it's always been ... on the ground and putting more of themselves on the ground as if that's the best they can do or hope for -- just like their parents

retching sounds from left of stage

I think your post is a pathetic attack on someone you don't know, about something you know nothing about. Just because you don't like it you sit in judgement on me, all the while knowing sweet FA about what it is your talking about. How would you like me to sit and judge you on what you do? I bet good money you "love Jebus"....

As for your comments about my kids.....

Sounds like your the kind of person who views sex as an evil "neccessity" and not something that two people can do togetehr and enjoy.

Pretty pointless trying to debate sexual morality with a Miss Marple clone....

I'm sorry St Vaast, but I don't pander to such low and un-informed types of replies from members such as you.

Upon further inspection of my post you will realize that raising children in a positive environment requires you to educate them about the world that they are in. Which is what I have done.

I can't keep my son from watching porn, and if you think you have with your kids then your very very wrong. If they aren't doing it at your house they are doing it somewhere else.

I'm not keeping their heads in their groins, I'm allowing my child to be a teenager and experience the good and the bad that comes with being one.

Please don't mistake my good parenting with your idea of self righteous child control. My children are individuals and I treat them as such, they make their own decisions and get to live with the consequences.

Whose are more evolved? The ones who have their parents governing their every move till they are of age, or the ones who have had to make decisions all their lives and actually some life experience?

Think about that before you judge others.

Edit To Add: Besides my child is intelligent enough to know the difference between sex and love, and you can't that's not our problem. Perhaps your religion keeps you from actually looking at things subjectively.
