US Civil Liberties Union tells UK to defend [Gary] McKinnon

that the only evidence the US had supplied to back its request being based on "hearsay" and not likely to stand up in court. The UK's high court heard last month that the charges against McKinnon were "extravagant" and "inflated".

Last I heard he was pretty distraught about the idea of being extradicted to the US. The US is caught in a catch 22. Do you admit that Mckinnon saw data about UFOs and prosecute, or just say he was snooping around and his claims are false. Looks like they can't make a case without validating what he says is true.

This is great, McKinnon has the U.S. in a corner. Truly a martyr in our time. Just how long will it take for the U.S. to admit they were hidig something.

I doubt the US thought this case would get so much coverage. I read that they will decide his fate on September 3rd. So keep your eyes peeled to see what the verdict is.
