I don't think I've ever seen anyone argue that abstinence, when actually practiced, is less effective than condoms.

The point is that people are more likely, in the real world, to use condoms than they are to live perfectly celibate or monogamous lives.

Thus advocating condom use will save more lives than advocating abstinence.

It's simple math.

Yea its also like asking madoff for financial advice...

the church/govt should stay out of peoples lives... Yes, aids is important, but regular testing among sexually active individuals should be implemented, but by any means, don't make it mandatory. its for ones own individuals health, and the health of his/her partners. responsibility should be given to the individual...

I dont know why the church is wasting their breath... its not like what they say is going to change the world, unless its about Life outside of this solar system...
