I can think of Tool and Blink 182, off the top of my head. And of course, UFO Phil.

Can you think of any others?

hmmm

Muse.

A song called Exo-Politics... I think it's referring to Project Bluebeam, but it's close enough.

Open the skies over me,
I am waiting patiently,
I'll wait for a sign.

As conspiracies unwind,
Will you slam shut,
Or free your mind,
or stay hypnotised.

When the Zetas fill the skies,
Will our leaders tell us why,
Fully loaded satellites,
will conquer nothing but our minds.

And I've waited patiently,
And I wait for the sign.

Carried through the centuries,
Secrets locked up,
And loaded on my back,
and it weighs me down.

When the Zetas fill the skies,
It's just our leaders in disguise,
Fully loaded satellites,
will conquer nothing but our minds.

And I am waiting patiently,
And I'll wait for the sign. (Yeah).
And I am waiting patiently,
I'll wait for the sign

Don't forget Radiohead

The breath of the morning
I keep forgetting
The smell of the warm summer air

I live in a town
Where you can't smell a thing
You watch your feet
For cracks in the pavement

Up above
Aliens hover
Making home movies
For the folks back home

Of all these weird creatures
Who lock up their spirits
Drill holes in themselves
And live for their secrets

They're all uptight
Uptight.. (x7)

I wish that they'd swoop down in a country lane
Late at night when I'm driving
Take me on board their beautiful ship
Show me the world as I'd love to see it

I'd tell all my friends
But they'd never believe
They'd think that I'd finally lost it completely

I'd show them the stars
And the meaning of life
They'd shut me away
But I'd be all right
All right..

I'm just uptight
Uptight..

I wanna see something serious; as far as people singing about the possibilites and implications of a landing, integration, or etc...

I make music - I'm even a one-man band - capable of making rock songs with my instruments and recording softwarer (not boasting), and I don't have the guts to do something like what I just said.

Hell, I can't even TALK about aliens with the people I know...

I can't believe my fellow ATS'ers have missed out on the pot of gold...

The Killers rock Spaceman......also, a very trippy video, enjoy!

LYRICS -

It started with a low light
Next thing I knew they ripped me from my bed
And then they took my blood type
It left a strange impression in my head
You know that I was hoping
That I could leave this star crossed world behind
But when they cut me open
I guess I changed my mind

And you know I might
Have just flown too far from the floor this time
Cause they're calling me by my name
And the zipping white light beams
disregarding bombs and satellites
Oh that was the turning point,
That was one lonely night

The star maker says it ain't so bad
The dream maker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says everybody look down
It's all in your mind

Well, now I'm back at home
And I'm looking forward to this life I live
You know it's gonna haunt me
So hesitation to this life I give
You think you might cross over
You're caught between the devil and the deep blue sea
You better look it over
Before you make that leap

And you know I'm fine
But I hear those voices at night
Sometimes
they justify my claim
And the public don't dwell on my transmission
Cause it wasn't televised
But it was the starting point
On a lonely night

The star maker says it ain't so bad
The dream maker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says, everybody look down
It's all in your mind

The star maker says it ain't so bad
The dream maker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says, everybody look down
It's all in your mind

My global position systems are vocally addressed
They say the Nile used to run from East to West
They say the Nile used to run from East to West

I'm fine ,
But I hear those voices at night
Sometimes

The star maker says it ain't so bad
The dream maker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says, everybody look down
It's all in your mind

The star maker says it ain't so bad
The dream maker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says, everybody look down
It's all in your mind

It's all in my mind (x6) END

Let me know what you guys think. I really enjoy The Killers, looking forward to seeing them live in a few weeks.

The Pixies (and Frank Black as a solo artist) have a lot. Especially on Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde.

Allisison starts off with "from distant star to this here bar"

Planet of sound is about a being searching for a transmission AKA the planet of sound

Bird Dream of the Olympus Mons. Olympus Mons is on Mars

The Happenning has lines like "they got a ranch they call... number 51" "can't see it at all 'less you're fly'n by" obviously about area 51 it allso says " They step right out of their ship... And say hello"

They have a song called Space(I belive in) but that seems to be more about physics, math, and the equation D=RxT (distance equals rate times time)

Those are just a few off the top of my head. I'm pretty sure they have more and that Frank Black has a few in his solo work.

Plus the Pixies are one of the best bands to ever have played this planet.
