Let me get this, liberals voted themselves a tax break while the poor still have nothing? Still no health insurance? Pathetic.

I still believe the free market will do more for the poor than government ever will.

If the whole economy is financed by debt for money, why are the banks still so screwed up? Oh, the government is using the money for its social experiement. So much for new job creation.

As far as Glen Beck, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

You obviously don't know capitalism then, capitalism is capitalism no matter what, laize-faire (sp) is the epitome of that, the early 1900's was a fine example of that, child labor, no unions, anything like that. Mc Donald's is a fine modern example. Any talk of unions, and you'll get fired. Globalism, out-sourcing is another fine example. All these unions, public schools, child labor laws, Medicaid, unemployment are all SOCIAL programs. If you want pure capitalism take all those that PROGRESSIVES gave us in the 20th century and you'll get your capitalism. Long Live the Mollly McGuires.

I think most people ignore most of the stuff discussed here. So that really doesnt matter in his credibility. 99% of the stuff discussed on here, is just plain whacko.

That is true. But I was a little disappointed he dropped the FEMA story so soon. Who knows, maybe he was warned off by the big guys at FOX.

And you're right; something liberals seem to forget; Glenn Beck was on Bush ALL THE TIME. Beck is more Libertarian minded. I'd much rather watch and listen to him than some of the other talking heads.

Beck is public enemy number 1 in their eyes, now that Obama is President. He's seen as a very successful propaganda tool, hence why you see so much energy and outrage from the left at discrediting him. This is why I find it humorous that Beck continues to do well in ratings. I know some of the people on the left are pulling out their hair.

You know Beck is doing something right when the enemies of free speech are hell bent on silencing him.

Because that was all LIES. Like that lady who thought an airport that had a ANG Station was a FEMA camp, uh no, that's a military installation, not to mention a airport. I would know, I'm in the military I know the rules, and how protective the Air Force is with its jets. Glad he did something rational for once.

Jerry Springer is a education program on how to debate.
Right?

[edit on 28-8-2009 by JBA2848]

I didn't say anything about Glenn Beck being educational. I made a joke about how when people start to talk politics its like watching Jerry Springer. So you could say Jerry Springer is where most of these people get there debating skills. I trulely think there would be fist fights and chair throwing if this thread was done in person and not over the internet.

I'd pay to see that. But only if Steve was there too.
Why Jerry Springer isn't doing political shows i'll never know. Because they'd be awesome.

Wow, didn't know you were a mod...

You give a link to a photoshoot of Glenn Beck as proof that all he says is a lie?...

BTW, I was in the military too, and so have been many members in the forums...

At first when the stoies about the FEMA camp came out, or at least the first time I heard of them, I didn't believe them.

It is true that some of the camps don't seem to be for anything bad, except why are so many at the same time being renovated? And there are some pictures of just some military installations. But the thing is, if you read the FEMA papers, they are authorizing the construction of detention camps inside miltiary bases for civilians not only military prisoners, and they are doing this more than usual, as if knowing something will happen that will make them need these installations.

Now if you add this to the FACT that the DHS under JAnet Napolitano has labeled most Americans as "possible terrorists".

If you add this to the fact that even Emmanuel Rahm has stated that "if you are in the no fly list, and you are a possible terrorist you shouldn't have a right to bear and own guns", and if you have any grey matter left in your brain to put these and other FACTS together, maybe you will come around and see why so many of us are concerned about this...

That can actually be said to be true about CNN and similar media that dwell in the indoctrination of the feeble minded for a "perfect society under a Communist/Socialist goal"...

After all CNN's founder is a known Communist who admitted himself CNN international was an idea that fidel castro gave him...

So let me see...believe the lies and twisting of facts a news media which is dedicated to Communist/Socialist ideals?...or listening to a news media that dwells with the ideas by which the Republic of the United States was founded on?....

Hummm....... I'll take the second one any day of the week, more so since I lived the true Socialist/Communist ideals in a Communist dictatorship...

Got any?

Founder of CNN, Ted Turner is a Communist?

I've never witnessed ANY CNN newscaster spew fake tears on the air.

This has been shown and posted MANY times... Even Jane Fonda who was married to Ted Turner has stated that he boasts about Communism and many of his friends being Communists including fidel castro.

Fonda Recounted Ted Turner's Atheism and Boasting of Communist Friends

By Tim Graham (Bio | Archive)
April 20, 2006 - 17:37 ET

There are a few other more personal notes in the Barbara Walters interview with Jane Fonda on PBS. Ted Turner's first words on his first date with Fonda are a little bizarre: "We got in the car. His first words to me was, ‘some of my best friends are communists. I’m thinking, ‘did he say that because he thinks I’m a communist, and it won’t get in the way’?" He named Gorbachev and Castro as his close friends.

Walters told Fonda "We all though that was a marriage that was pretty special." She asked "What broke it up? The rumor was that you became spiritual. You found religion. He didn’t like that." She also mentioned that Turner had adulterous relationships.

Fonda agreed that religion became a problem: "I did it while I was married to him and I didn’t tell him, which is not playing fair actually. But by then, we weren’t on the same team, basically. I felt myself being drawn to faith, very strongly, very viscerally, and Ted was the champion of the debate team at Brown. And I knew that if I talked to him about it, he who was an atheist, he would talk me out of it. And I was so raw and so new with this faith that I didn’t want to expose myself to that. So he found out and got upset, as well he should have. It was not a good thing for me to have done."

I thank you very much for being here tonight. Let me also thank Fidel Castro. In the earliest days of CNN, when CNN was meant to be seen only in the United States, the enterprising Fidel Castro was pirating and watching CNN in Cuba. Fidel was intrigued by CNN. He wanted to meet the person responsible. So Ted Turner, who at that point had never traveled to a Communist country or knowingly met a Communist, [went to Havana]. It was big deal for Ted and during the discussions Castro suggested that CNN be made available to the entire world. In fact it was that seed, that idea that grew into CNN International, which is now seen in every country and territory on the planet.

BTW, Ted Turner, and Fonda also are advocates of "population control".

Another pet cause of Fonda (and of her ex-husband Ted Turner) is population control. Fonda served as President Bill Clinton’s special “good-will” ambassador to the United Nations Population Fund, and gave a speech at the UN where she complained: “Our species alone co-opts, consumes or eliminates 40% of the Earth's … energy … We must fight to ensure universal access to family planning ... backed up with safe abortion.”

In 2003 Fonda received Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award for her work to promote population control and taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand. The following year, Ted Turner won the same award. Fonda and Turner also share a passionate devotion to the tenets of radical environmentalism. In particular, Fonda supports the Environmental Media Association.

Ted Turner is a mouthpiece and part of the indoctrination machine alongside many others for the One World Socialist dictatorship.

Thanks, I will concede that Fidel might have played a miniscule part of the inspiration for CNN Int'l. However I do not believe Ted Turner is a communist.

BTW, I cannot accept your first source as it is fraught with conjecture, hearsay and speculation. The author is aligned to Brent Bozell. CNS News right wing neocon.

The Population Control aspect is simply laughable.

Nice try. I do appreciate the attempt. Thanks.

Now back on topic................

IMO, Mr. Beck is an anti-polyanna of sorts, full of bombastic high self opinion. He caters to the lowest common denominator which is the success behind Faux Snooze.

His high ratings merely confirm to me that misery loves company and ignorance is boundlesss.

You did this in another thread too. Asking people to prove, what is blatantly obvious to anyone paying any attention at all. When you did it to me and I provided proof you claimed, "I just wanted to see if you would do it".

Stop playing dumb. You know very well that there are a dozen left wing Glenn Becks that go on TV every night and out right lie to people. At least beck is going against the popular grain.

His high ratings merely confirm to me that misery loves company and ignorance is boundlesss.

As he sits down to watch Chris Mathews, David Gregory and Keith Olbermann.

Anyone who doesn't agree with you is a stupid sheeple eh? Why cant you address a single argument or question Beck produces?

Uummmm, Who's Glenn Beck ??? haha

more importantly, who cares.

Yet, you posted here and there are a dozen Beck threads going on ATS right now.

What is laughable is that you don't even try to back your claims that the links i gave are not reliable... You asked for evidence, i gave it, now YOU present evidence this is not true...

BTW, keep reading below and listen to Ted Turner himself say what you claim is not true...

Now watch this, in this audio interview Ted Turner talks about Global Warming, and population control...
