I have no intention of arguing with you, and I congratulate you in successfully proving to everyone that I'm a rude jerk.

Although I gotta say that I didn't exactly come right out and call you spiritually dead like you are implying through clever use of the quoting mechanism. What I said was actually part of a conditional statement...

I was just trying to make a point about the importance of critical analysis and encourage you to really check out the evidence.

BUT... I guess technically I can agree with you that I was calling you spiritually dead, but only if you affirm as true that you were accepting pretty much anything as true without critically analyzing it. Maybe we can agree to disagree.

Maybe instead of getting mad at me you can thank me for stopping you from wasting your time with this stuff any more than you already were? You know... for providing you with the truth instead of letting you wallow in your ignorance?

What fascinates me is how harsh people are to one another in such a topic... Can't people simply give their opinion while respecting other's opinion, without laughing at them! People laughed (and killed) the first person who tried to prove Earth wasn't flat. Did laughing make it less round? If those believing the body has a soul leaving it after death are wrong, can we blame them of believing it? If they try to prove it, shouldn't we be proud they don't simply rely on faith and finally, if they prove it is real, will we be upset 'cause it's not what we wanted truth to be? That would be dogmatic science, don't you all think?

Disagree if you will, give arguments if you can, but people, do respect each other. We never know, we could all be a bunch of people living in Plato's Cave, and be all wrong... Who knows?

Listen, if I just accepted this as fact, I would have read up on it and left it at that. Instead, I posted it requesting the input of others. I agree, the one photo looked like a thermal image although some claim to know the differences between this image and a thermal image. The aura photography is a whole other story, I do believe some people can see auras. I do not have proof for that, exept for peoples accounts, experiences and photos. The photos don't even matter because sceptics will always try to disprove them. I have not faught with anyone on this thread but got agitated at some who leave one line comments with no substance, claiming there is no soul. But if you cannot explain your reason for thinking that indepth, then I assume that shows ignorance. (That is not directed at you, your first post on the matter was quite in depth and had substance to it, and some valid points.) Although you jumped the gun in your reply to my post.

I will honestly say, I DO NOT KNOW if a soul exists. What I do take into considiration, are peoples accounts of NDE's, OBE's and my personal feeling towards the matter. As I have also experienced similar things. I personally, feel there is something more. Maybe it is wishfull thinking, maybe not. That is the reason for this thread, unfortunately, some lack the ability to engage in & continue a civilized conversation.

Although I gotta say that I didn't exactly come right out and call you spiritually dead like you are implying through clever use of the quoting mechanism. What I said was actually part of a conditional statement...

Yeah, um.. you left out the

. GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT. You are no different than any other cult member who is drinking the Koolaid

So, I would say you made yourself look like "rude jerk" with no help from me.

In order to critically analyse a subject, you need to look at both sides critically. That means your side too. I sometimes think people forget why we post here. Or maybe I have have it wrong. I though it was to discuss matters, not bash people. When I post a topic, it is with the intention to elaborate and dig deeper, and take consideration to others' opinions.

Maybe instead of getting mad at me you can thank me for stopping you from wasting your time with this stuff any more than you already were? You know... for providing you with the truth instead of letting you wallow in your ignorance?

Really? You claim yours is the truth, well I will not argue that but will not thank you either. If you ask me, your last sentince is the epitome of ignorance.

Go well man, I now agree to disagree.

It's because people are afraid.

Some are afraid of the mortality of the physical vehicle.

Some are afraid of the immortality of the observer.

Umm. The first thing that comes to my mind is that this is a bunch of Russian malarky. The Russian press is infamous for propaganda and sensationalism on a scale that makes the Weekly World News look like a respectable science journal.

I know from my first-hand meetings and conversations with Russian "journalists" that they do not hesitate to fabricate many of their "news stories" and their sources out of thin air, for no other reason than to increase public interest and readership — a sort of modern-day Yellow Journalism such as we saw here in the USA during the latter 19th and early 20th Centuries.

In addition, the Russian press goes crazy with Photoshop enhancements of photographs to "spice up" the more mundane news stories — I've seen them add, remove or replace faces and figures in a crowd, insert advertiser logos in the background, et cetera.

I once asked a Russian publisher if he didn't see anything wrong with these practices. He acted completely surprised and replied Of course not! His position was that a newspaper or magazine's job was to sell papers — if the honest truth was entertaining enough, they would print the honest truth. But, when necessary (which is often), they embellish the truth to increase readership and sell more advertising.

In short, the Russian press readily invents the news when the real thing is in short supply.

If you have ever had an OBE, then you'd know that we exist within a multiple plane of existence. Body,Mind,Soul...

I died on the surgeons table. I was 22 years old. I left my body, and was suspended above myself at ceiling level for a short while. I saw the silver thread that is not commonly talked of. It danced around and connected my outer conscientiousness with the flesh below.

The strange thing was, I was determining if I wanted to just exit and not go back, and assessing if I could handle the ramifications if I did go back.

I actually saw my opened up abdomen, guts and all, and all the attendants in the room. It was a god awful bloody mess.

I left the room, and went to a region where there was first a greyness, and then just light. I felt a presence there, and sense of total peace, relief. I was told to go back. I followed the silver cord, and reentered my body. It hurt and stung. It felt cold.

The next day, I told my doctor in the recovery ward about it, and he very quickly looked around, and put his finger to my mouth. Then he softly shushed me. He said that it wasn't something that I should talk about in front of the other guys nearby. Then he quietly told me, that it was a phenomenon that the medical community was aware of, and generally did not discuss it with patients. He said it was a rare event, and not many people are willing to discuss it. He left, and came back with a chaplain.

I blew their mind, when I revealed who was in the room, where they stood, and what their roles were. I told them what color the room was, and that I had was covered in blood soaked sheets from my neck to my knees. I knew how many blood plasma bags were used. The Chaplain wrote everything I said down in a journal. I signed it. The doctor was very quiet, and just nodded as I revealed what I remembered. He said, "Yes! we have heard of this before, but, not very often."

Thus, for me, I personally know, that there is more to us, than just our physical body.

As far as I am concerned, something told me to return. I didn't see it. I was aware of it, and understood it.

Whenever I awaken out of a sub conscience state, and have a certain feeling within me, I recognize instantly the feeling, and sensation. I have left again, and voyaged out for a short while. It is a longing, and desire now. My "being" longs for the light flight of freedom, lightness of being, and the last time it happened, tears poured out of my eyes, as my wife watched in horror. She said I was rigid, pasty looking, cool to the touch, with my eyes rolled back in my head, nearly not breathing. She thought I was dying. Then she told me, I became very still...gasped and became aware of her. I was looking at her, but didn't respond to her calls. Finally, I said hello, as if I had just met her. Then I remembered where I was, and who I was.

That was the time I saw literally countless millions of silver/ silver white threads emanating from the planet like hairs into the air. They intertwined and danced about as if to some harmony. Then I remembered my teachings about the cosmic Om vibration, then I felt so very humbled.

We are all connected. We are not individual at all. There is a cosmic conscience/awareness we all are tapped into. We are one. One with everything.

I am glad science can now begin to show everyone, what the body does and is. Existence isn't just flesh. Just as mind isn't only brain matter and electrical synapses in chemical suspension. Soul isn't just a collection of actions.

We are each tuned to our particular channel, and live within that signal. Yet, as you know, you can cross over into anothers channel, and read or feel their thoughts, and desires, if you can let yourself disconnect from ego. Ego is assumptive, and it deludes.

Within the ether of the welkin, we all exist together. In the immense ethereal gulf we hang on a thread.

You never really die. You are never alone.

I am glad I told you about this.

Another thing I want to reveal, is that the realm known as the afterlife, or heaven, isn't way out in space someplace. It is in the here and now, all around, swirling about in nether region that goes no father than tens of thousand feet above the living. There, you become one for awhile with all others, then you are re-tuned and returned. It can take as long as several days, to many years within human existence time. It actually happens in an instantaneous flash.

Life is a circle. A continuous compendium of cycle after cycle.

True death, is when the all power driving the cosmos, allows the dissolving of your Chi. Death of Chi, is the end of existence. Call it the casting out into the bottomless pit. Dissolving Chi burns as psyche ends.

Rebirth after rebirth anneals the soul cycle, to ultimately achieve what some call Nirvana. The highest point of oneness of being.

Right now, my journey is less than half completed. I have a long long way to go yet. And so much more to learn, and then teach as I go. Remember to love first, last and everywhere in between. A properly dialed channel, is tuned to pure love.

Christ spoke of it. So did Buddha, and Allah.

Blessed be, children, one and all.

I am still figuring it out, thus "confused and dazed". But totally amazed as well. Try to be happy, in spite of everything we are facing. Not easy I know.

The great test is tribulation. It tests the very mettle of your soul.

Enough on this for now.

The Egyptians believed that the heart (soul) was weighed against a feather of judgment. If the heart was heavier than the feather,( Ma'at ) it was devoured by the eater of souls...An Alligator/Leopard/ Hippopotamus looking demon, ( Ammut ) that in effect destroyed any chance of going to your higher reward. Absolute final death was something that every Egyptian feared above everything else. Christians, Buddhists, Muslims etc. are no different.

Ma'at represented truth, order, balance, justice personified. Her concept was harmony, what was right and what things should be. Without Ma'at, there would be total chaos. All things that have validity today.

I believe that fouled karma, corrupted "anima", becomes polluted with anti life energies. Once the ring of the OM is out tune, it is then is out of balance and wobbles like an out of whack gyroscope...making it difficult for you to find peace and harmony in life. "Sin=Corruption" is a sludge that impedes and hampers the smooth running of your life...to much of it, you falter and fall over like a drunken sailor. You lose your way, your clarity, and ability to regain a vibrant life.

Atonement and Penitence are like changing your oil and filter. Something that must be done, if you want to keep your life running smoothly.

When I experienced my " silver thread", I realized that my life energy has a "cosmic umbilical cord" that I have no control over. I am still attached to my cosmic mother... we all are.

The total of my life will be filtered through the "Universal Conscientiousness" where it will determined just how much "impurities" have accumulated.

I am trying very hard, to keep my input energies clean, and to maintain balance in life. This is your tribulation. Keeping the grime and sludge out of your heart, mind, soul. I don't want the eater of souls devouring my chances towards a higher ascension. The lightness of being is real.

I agree, that the "Anima""soul" has weight.

Children, you are so much more than the sum of what you see in the mirror, wear on your back, or carry in your wallet. All of which are vanities.
Don't let mores of the ego ruin your life.

Narcissus saw his reflection and fell in love, which was his Ego. True soul has no Ego or vanity.

Perhaps a listing of the original 7 deadly sins would be prudent here; fornicatio=LUST, gula=GLUTTONY, avarita=GREED, socordia=SLOTH, ira=WRATH, invidia=ENVY, superbia=PRIDE.
Adding; tristita=DISPAIR

all of which are life force sludge and corruption...those who trust in themselves and their own merits are blinded by their own " I " and their hearts harden in "SIN"!

The seven holy virtues; HUMILITY, CHARITY, KINDNESS, PATIENCE, CHASTITY, TEMPERANCE, DILIGENCE

Therefore, Ma'at would be just a pertinent today, and she was then.

The NEWLY ADDED EDICTS of DEADLY SINS for current times include; POLLUTING, GENETIC ENGINEERING, BEING OBSCENELY RICH, DRUG DEALING, ABORTION, PEDOPHILIA, CAUSING SOCIAL INJUSTICE.

The Mortal Sins; MURDER, CONTRACEPTION, ABORTION, PERJURY, ADULTERY, LUST.

I would add to these lists the following; Political Intrigue/unjustified warfare.
Bullying in all forms. Hedonism/Consumerism. Debt/indebtedness. Loansharking/money lending. Gambling/lotteries. Animal Abuse. Slavery/in all forms. Pornography/all forms...which IS NOT a freedom of speech. Polygamy. Prostitution. Celebrity worship/cultism. Religious Intolerance along with Zealotry/holy wars.

This list could go on infinitum.

Simplify, simplify, simplify...walk lightly upon the Earth, and leave no tracks!
Live with purity and honesty, leave without regret. Simple.

Confused and Dazed,

So are you saying when we reach the end of our journey we are devoured, or if we let the ego corrupt us to a point of no return so to speak we are devoured? Either way, that is the most terrible and fearful thing I can think of is to cease to exist. It horrifies me inside. Another thought I had was if we come back here and can't remember a past life, isn't that kind of the same as ceasing to exist? I mean don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing, but say I die and come back as a completely different person, didn't my old person die if I can't remember him? Thanks for sharing your NDE/OBE with us. Very cool. If I could have the perfect job, it would be studying these all of my life. I'm soon going to be a Registered Nurse, so maybe I will get some exposure then. Thx...Gum

Hi there, Confused and Dazed!,

That was both frightening and beautiful to read. Thank you so much for posting it here. It just showes you how much you accually do sin withot even knowing it. Contraception, for instance. I thought I was doing good by preventing myself from having a child I cannot afford to take care of, I mean I'm only 21. But I guess it's not all that different from having an abortion, is it?

In any case, both the stories you wrote were beautifull to read. Thanks again.

My friend can see the aura and also can see the ghost.

Do you believe that it's real? I believe because a lot of stuff that my friend told me convince me that it's real.

She can tell me what's color do other have. It sounds crazy. She told me the aura is around the head and contain only one color..

People want to believe it. Instinct tells us to believe in an after-life because those who do not do not tend to live as long. It's an example of selection pressure. This is evolutionary. Those with genes that encourage a belief in the supernatural and eternal life, live longer, on average.

Most people in the world are religious. Atheism is rare. Agnostics are uncommon.

And with age we're more likely to believe in a god.

IMHO, these points help to make it clear that faith in god is a selected trait. If it weren't then it wouldn't have survived the trials of the natural world and evolution would not have selected it.

The fact that some atheism and agnosticism still survive hints that they too have some purpose. A long life is probably not the purpose, but it might be something more societal than individual. In fact, i think it would be very similar to homosexuality and how some studies show it might exist as a way to add more stability to families and communities where it's more commonly accepted. However, homosexuality cannot be the dominant trait since sexual reproduction is a necessary trait. This should remain true until we reproduce ourselves in a different manner. Either way, the point stands.

I googled and found these sites that list some supporting evidence supporting my hypothesis:
vip.hyperusa.com...
epiphenom.fieldofscience.com - In the US, belief in life after death is linked to...
www.ergo-log.com - Belief in a just world extends life expectancy...

I remember a very similar story out of Russia about 10 years ago reported in Pravda online saying some scientist had found a way to photograph ghosts although no pictures were ever provided. I was very intrigued at the time and did a bit of research but could find no other reports anywhere else of the story.
Not sure if this is new or just a rehash of that old story
