UFO in skies above Chongqing, China - 8/23/09 Onlookers Amazed for over 30 minutes!!

Came across this, it appears recent, there are pics in the article.
They are saying this happened somewhere in China, the craft supposedly stayed in view for over 30 minutes while onlookers took pictures and frantically ran about.

Looks like someone walked out of the factory with a handful of LEDs.

I thought the same thing...although, I remember a painting from the 1600's that had a crap ton of LED colored lights on a massive UFO sighting depiction.

No ways a "kite" would stay still and so high for so long with such bright LED's as you say.

Though you might be attempting sarcasm, i do not know.

That looks too big to be a kite of some sort, IMO.

And those can't be leds, at least, not without being a bunch of them.

If its not a kite, then its a good projection.

I thought there was a video? Oh well...at least the pictures are half decent.

I would like to know if it really hovered or if it stayed in the area for some time.

...it's just a guess, but it could be a in-flight refueling tank. They have this sort of light to guide the aircraft to the refueling point.

The problems with this theory are:

1- If it indeed hovered, this type of planes don't hover.
2- You can't see the shape of the aircraft, although the area around is dark.
3- they don't happen in habbited areas, if I'm not mistaken.

IMO it does not look like a kite. I would love to see more pics of it though... I have only been able to locate pics like the ones posted above, granted I have not been looking to hard. But this is very interesting.

Im convinced that this is another one of those LED kites being used to fake UFOs. The Chinese have invented these night kites that light up like crazy and kids are hovering them all round the world, and everything thinks, UFO, because of the silent hovering and lights.

The user then turns the lights off and returns the kite to the ground.

Convinced!
