OK, thanks.

I watched a demo because I wanted to see censorship in action, something I stopped seeing in Portugal since 1974 (if we ignore the stupidly censored videos that MTV passes) .

The Christian part I understood, but I do not have the slightest idea of what is a fundamental, independent baptist church, things like that are rare in Portugal, if they even exist, this is mostly a Catholic country.

I am an atheist, or at least I think I am.

Why does the U.N. think it has any business telling every society on earth when they should teach what to whose kids? Here's what we should start teaching kids by age 5: Screw the U.N., and if they come near you, kill 'em.

Blue helmets make wonderful targets!

Anybody that messes with my kids will not live to regret it!

Yes we have seen time and again how the UN works... UN troops raping in african nations, not to mention shooting at disarmed people. Many UN officials including Kofi Annan's son involved in the Oil For Food Scandal by which they were getting rich meanwhile instead of helping the people in Iraq they were making deals with Saddam... Not to mention that along many other facts we know the UN even has HAMAS members employedworking for sections of the UN...

Yeah that must be why meanwhile many countries which are part of the UN didn't want to go to war in Iraq because they had deals with Saddam that was making them rich meanwhile the Iraqi people did not get the necessary help, the U.S. and some other countries decided enough is enough with Saddam...

You know what you call an adult who talks to young children about touching them selves and "how it feels" what would you do if you caught someone teaching your kids this stuff. You would call the Police. because that person is a peadofile.

I do beleive that the majority of the elites in charge of the world are peadofiles. a few years ago it was even investigated in america. Children were being supplied to presidents...it was suddenly halted though , the investigation.

I don't see the issue with this. Kids are learning about sexuality younger and younger as time continues. But they're not learning it from education. They're learning it from their fellow friends or the easy access to internet pornography.

This is actually a good idea.

I know, it seems young but that's reality. Kids are engaging in sexual activity in their pre teen years...so why not properly educate them?

Didn't really answer the question there, did you? The "UN troops" you nag about are soldiers given to various UN missions by member states.

Now, the big countries don't often lend their troops to the UN, especially the US who love to use the UN for their own agenda but rarely ever offer up any troops for the missions they create. The Uk and France are about the only nations in the Big 5 that ever contribute troops. Are you saying that British troops in Kosovo, or Cyprus rape children?

This leave only developing nations as donors, such as in African missions where the troops are likely from India, Bangladesh, Nigeria etc. These troops are often low quality, porrly trained and even in their own countries perform human rights abuses. It's no surprise that they do the same when on UN missions.

Perhaps if you have such an issue with using low-quality troops, you should ask your Government to offer up those of your own country? No? Then stop your bitching. The Big 5 pass resolutions calling for UN missions here and there, but don't offer up soldiers, instead they rely on the piss poor troops from Backwaterstan to do their work for them.

Plenty of Americans have been blamed for also colluding with the regime and since the toppling of Saddam, US companies close the Administration have got very rich of no-bid contracts with the puppet Government there.

What's your point?

Every normal human, if left alone, will discover the sensations of orgasm. Whether if by dreaming, and experiencing a "wet dream" or unexplainable orgasm while being titillated by something they are witnessing, young folks will become sexually aware of their bodies. Especially once they began to mature and hormones kick in.

Children today, are becoming aware sooner of what "sexuality is about" than those of 50 years ago. The age of innocence is lost nowadays at three and four. What a shame.

Media is to blame, because of the over hyped and highly dramatized greatness of early sexual awareness in pre-teens and teens. The message is; "the sooner the better."

Media's continual sexualization of children, especially young females, has only brought about the corruption and lack of morals with our females. They are too often already experienced with multiple partners by the time they are 15. The pressures on girls to make out, touch, submit to oral, and then to intercourse before they are 16 is horrible. Boy's don't help matters much, because they want to experience everything an adult man does, while they are still considered minor children by law. ( under 18 )

Some wonder why sexual predators stalk the internet trying to hook up with an under-aged girl. Yet, the girls are on line looking to stir things up themselves, with their provocative and very suggestive postings. Now, there is 'sexting' to worry about. It is the rare occasion, where she is just a lonely outcast, who is looking for any avenue out of her daily situation, and then falls prey to online cyber-stalker.

Society has to decide what their priorities and moral compass will be. If debauchery of minor girls is acceptable, then the laws protecting them has to be amended. Teaching young children what is and how to masturbate can not lead to anything morally positive. Personally, I don't look forward to having a bunch of morally depraved, and overly sexually aggressive kids running around. Jeezus, why can't we let kids be kids, and let them mature at their own pace, without pushing them into it?

My extended family has had a couple of unwed pregnant teens. ( the males never stepped up, or married them ) The girls have had a difficult life because of it, and it cost the parents as well. ( as of yet, not one of the daddy's has ever paid one cent of support ) Of course, once the girls became pregnant, and left school, they were immediately labeled skanks and whores!

Always a doubt standard. "Put out to be grown up and cool", get preganant, and then your a loser and all your friends turn their backs on you!

What a price for the glory of "doing it!"

It is the responsibility of parents to educate their kids about sex, schools spend too much time focusing on the wrong things.

Children naturally explore their bodies they do not need adults teaching them how, nor do they need encouragement to make it their overall focus. I think this is just another ploy to further dumb down society and by distracting children early with sex.

Yes I believe parents should answer their children's questions about sex as truthful as possible but at the same time instill their beliefs to balance the information. Schools can't give balanced information because it's a diverse atmosphere which may not reflect the cultural or religious beliefs of the parents.

Again the abortion topic in school is really an attempt to override any cultural or religious beliefs they parents may be instilling in their children. In a nutshell they are usurping parents rights to raise their children in their own belief system.

Also I see it as a means of encouragement of early sexual activity, do you know the average age of sexual activity today is twelve. May be I'm reading too much into this but the UN's agenda is to make it socially acceptable for children to be overly sexually active at any age and within any age group. To be like so many adults in society focused too much on sex and not on other matters that make up life. Whatever their agenda it's not beneficial to children or society at large.

This reminded me of a story from quite a few years back, but there was this kid he was like 8 years old, maybe younger.
Well it seems he got busted for raping his play mates, and what is even worst is he wasn't concerned to much about gender?
I don't where this kid is now, but look out.

But apparently, from what we can see, most parents are not doing it.

So, if the parents are doing it, this will be nothing new to the children, and if they aren't doing it then this will be a good way of compensating the parents absence in their children's education.

The biggest problem I see with this is the religious side of things, this can be used as a way of the teacher or the school to force their religious beliefs onto the children.

If a parent chooses not to discuss sex, AIDS, masturbation or any other topic with their children is their prerogative and as parents their right to raise their kids to reflect their beliefs should be respected.

If schools spent more time educating the children about basics such as math, reading, geography, and "real" history and less time forcing sex education (if that's what you want to call it) on "Johnny" he wouldn't graduate high school not being able to read and write his own name.

Currently the education level is pathetic inspite of the amount of money spent on school districts, no one is focused on educating just propaganda enforcement. Schools have been teaching sex education in the US for nearly forty years and look at the state of things, it's apparent schools can't handle that responsibility either.

Also look at it like this, kids are faced with "adult" matters all day everyday just by listening to the popular music, watching supposedly children programs, and yes the pollution they're taught in schools. So if people are thinking this latest recommendation from the UN is going to make things better for kids and give them their childhoods back they better think again.

Sure, but what about those that forget about it and only remember it when it's too late? Those were the ones I was talking about.

From what you say it looks like you have a specific case in mind, and this report was a generic report, for no specific country, maybe UNICEF has some reports about math, reading, geography and "real" history (whatever that may mean), but as those are not as "sexy" as a report about sex education they are harder to find, if they exist.

Schools have been teaching sex education in the US for nearly forty years and look at the state of things, it's apparent schools can't handle that responsibility either.
The fact that the system used in the US does not work doesn't mean that this one will not work either, have you compared both?

I don't think anyone is thinking that this is going to give back their childhoods, just prepare them better (in theory).

I speak on the information the US Department of Education has compiled. "Real history" means the truth about things that occurred not the politically correct or propagandized nonsense.

Apparently it's not "working" in other countries for them to make such broad recommendations. If you mean the current travesty calling itself education in the US to what the UN is recommending in the article it's all the same. When governments take on the responsibility of forcing information down children's throats that is not age appropriate nor needed you have to wonder what's the agenda, it sure isn't for the benefit of the children.

I don't think anyone is thinking that this is going to give back their childhoods, just prepare them better (in theory).

No just take what's left of their childhoods. I really don't believe it's about preparing children for better it's another means of usurping parental rights to instill morality in their children. History in the US shows when schools just taught the basics and parents did the instilling of morals things worked out, not perfectly, but hell of a lot better than now.

Generally speaking, just twenty years ago kids graduated high school and knew there was fifty states in this country now they don't know the states much less how many. These are the adults of tomorrow can you imagine what the world will be like with whole populations of simpletons?

The U.N. can call for whatever they like. Hell, why not teach children about breast implants and vibrators at the age of 5?

They can devise any plan they like, but my children are only going to learn what I teach them. Then again, my children are home schooled, they are too important to leave in the hands of my stupid, delusional generation.

Get your kids out of public school systems. The curriculum might be similar in many ways, but you have the freedom to teach your own children with the emphasis and due attention each subject requires.

Can you explain to me, why the little girls clothing departments have under pants that are bikini's or string bikini's for girls as young as five?

Why are girls that are 11 and 12 wearing lacy thongs that show above their belt lines?

Why are young, small breasted girls being encouraged to wear push-up bra's?

Why are girls who are 13-18 having their navels pierced, as well their nipples?

Why are parents allowing girls as young as 12 and 13 to have tattoo's?

Why does American youth fall prey to someone as morally depraved as Brittany Spears or Paris Hilton?

For some reason, wholesomeness is considered out of vogue, and no longer an attribute.

Nearly every male wants to pop some young thing before she's 15, and yet wants a virgin to marry! What a load hooey.

What is the real meaning the high school prom? To get laid?

Our moral compass is totally screwed up! I feel so sorry for the young girls today.
