Healthcare is no more a right than a college education. Maybe everyone in the world should have reliable transportation too right? Why doesn't the government just provide a car, a house, clothing, and food for those that can't provide for themselves? Here's a thought.........if people want free healthcare they can go get a government job!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my question would be: "What did she know?"

Also, he funded terrorism in Britain, so I have no respect for the man.

Well, with the passing of Teddy, it remains to be seen if this is the end of the
Kennedy Curse.

His passing will change the landscape of Washington politics as much as the election of Obama, given that he lived and 'worked' there for nearly a half-century.

I will not speak ill of the dead...I can just feel the whack! along side my head by my parents, if I did. Plus, it's just a downright low class thing to do.

Thank you for that report. It most certainly won't be reported elsewhere in the MSM because 'we want to remember him for all the Good Things'.

... overwhelming silence ...

"That was just because he deserved a moment of silence not because we couldn't come up with anything good. And that's our nightly report. Film at 11"

OMG I hope this doesn't become as big a thing as with Michael Jackson... except maybe they will find that even though Kennedy had an underlying illness, like Jackson, they can charge Obama (the visiting Health Care Provider.)

I'm just sayin' Ya Know....

(Same thing happened after he visited his dear departed Grandma; smells like a conspiracy of one.)

Edit to add: I'm low class, and offensive.

I never bought into that 'Kennedy Curse' thing. They are a big family and in the spotlight. Bad things eventually will happen. A lot of their 'curse' they brought on themselves .... the booze, the car wrecks, the airplane crashes, the drugs and 'date rapes', etc. None of that were curses. It was all human failings.

As for Ted Kennedy ... I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone and I'll leave it to God to judge where he should be in the afterlife. As for Kennedy's poltiics .. they sucked. I'm glad his power play to get his puppet, Kerry, into office failed. Thank God for that.

Lack of class? Kennedy stood for the entire antithesis of what it means to be American. He was a died in the wool socialist. He would have turned this country upside down if he would have had the power. Who cares if the man's dead. Who cares if more Kennedy's die. Are you going to be sobbing away when Arnold Schwarzenegger dies? There was a girl from California who had her teeth ripped out, her fingers cut off and was stuffed in a suit case. I'm sure as we speak there are any number of children starving to death in Africa or even right here in America. Ted Kennedy lived to the ripe old age of 77 and made a FORTUNE being a career politician. And how much did he really change the average American's life? Did he have a huge impact on YOUR life? It's obvious who the liberals are........or dare I say it who the women are in this thread. Let's keep things in perspective, come down out of the clouds!!!!!!!!

I agree. I certainly was no fan of the man, but lets at least give him today. My condolences to the family for their loss.

Yes, and it is also obvious who the liberals hater and the misogynist is. No arguing there. And I suppose that you yourself then are the perfect measure of what it means to be American? While I will be not sobbing away when Arnold or any other politician dies for that matter and I am not sobbing away at Mr. Kennedy's death now, I also won't be crying "Good riddance!" -like you do- when a politician dies who used to have different beliefs than me.
