A good day to bury bad news?

I do not know if anyone else has thought of this, but here goes-
On the day of 9/11, a British political figure tried to publish figures damning to the Government of the day, saying that it was "A good day to bury bad news". Quite rightly, when this was discovered, she was quickly removed from her post.

Now, does anyone know just what laws were passed through the Congress by the current occupier of the White House on the day news broke about the death of Michael Jackson?

Can you see the parallels in this theory?

As I said, I am not sure if this has been covered before, I could not find anything with a search, but if it is already here, then mods please remove.
