I found these today. I thought some of the aerospace fans on here would find some of them interesting.


Just over 100 years since the first sustained and controlled heavier-than-air powered flight, flying machines are now commonplace, used for transport, freight, warfare, rescue and pleasure just for starters. Aerospace technology is still the realm of both big business and entrepreneurs - Moscow recently hosted an airshow in which contracts totaling $10 billion were signed, and Virgin Galactic is still working toward a private spaceliner business. Collected here are recent photographs of various flying machines in action or on display around the world. (40 photos total)

There's some pretty spectacular photos there.
I especialy like the home made helicopter! I can't believe the government would'nt let him fly it.

Thanks for thoses pics they are cracking, especially love the Chinese helecopter that cost the poor guy a years wages and the governments wouldent let him fly it

You can fly choppers and airplanes under a certain weight. They are called ultralights. However if they have more than one seat they require a sport pilot license to fly.

At least in the United States that is.

I think the law is quite similar here in Canada as well.
The kicker about that picture was that the government would'nt let him fly it cause it was deemed too dangerous. LoL
