It's strange but getting really hard to argue. It'll be right up there with the Heisman curse pretty soon.

Speaking of Maddon, I heard the other day that he got some kind of special adviser to the NFL gig. I like the guy ok and good for him but I'm not sure he'd be my 1st choice for something like that. -Maybe 10 years ago.

I hate the Steelers but Troy is a great player. Makes good commercials too:

I think he's great too. Too bad he's hurt, I liked watching his highlights.

Man, I can see the Maddon cover but they must have given him a nice check for that one. lol
He and his lovely wife (and she is lovely) had their first child last year. -I'll put it off to nursery expenses.

My question is a rhetorical one, what in the world was Chicago's snapper thinking when he decided to go for the fake punt? Bears fans- I feel your pain.

Although it did bring about the best football quip of the day.

Al Michaels : Lovie Smith has thrown the challenge flag.

Collingsworth: It might be on his own call.

I think even Smith was chuckling about it when word came over his headset.

Anybody watch the end of that Cincy-Denver game?

Almost everybody got burned on that pick!

That was easily one of the worst games I've ever seen. I was rootin' for Cincy, as Seattle has Denver first rd. pick next year... One of those instances of "even a blind squirrel...". Talk about fortuitious.

Early injury report:

Bears: Brian Urlacher out for the rest of the season with a dislocated wrist.

Eagles: McNabb uncertain for next week ... early reports indicate that his fractured rib is more serious than originally thought. www.rotowire.com...

The hardest part of playing Seattle is cleaning the bird poop off the uniforms after they've been crushed.

So how's that widereciever situation workin' out for ya? *snicker*

Just be aware that this years version of the Seahawks no more resemble last years fiasco, then this years niners resemble the 80's version.

Sneakin' hunch it's gonna be interesting.

Urlacher wasn't looking too hot before the wrist. That's too bad, he's sure had his share of injuries.

Got to admit I thought of ATS when I heard McNabb went out. The Vick thing becomes all the more interesting. I heard on the way home from work that they picked up Garcia. I think it's a great move, remember what he did last time he filled in for McNabb. I still think DM has to get healthy for them to go deep in the post though.
