Nice hammer and sickle We obvious know here your coming from If you'd like, I'd be more than happy to purchase you and your family a one-way ticket to Venezuela where you can lap up all of the socialism that you'd like. But I've got some news for ya - it'll happen here in the United States over my dead body - and the dead bodies of millions of patriots just like me! You wanna take that bet!?

He does, he knowswhat he is talking about.

My husband and I are under tricare humana government run insurance.

But the government run insurance for vets and retirees like my husband is already been promised to stay the way it is.

But we know better.

Retirees and Vets insurance will be one of the biggest target under Obama health care.

My husband and I oppose to the bills in congress for health care reform, because it doesn't specified where Retirees and Vet will be with this bill .

Now you understand.

The same way that the bill doesn't specified where the money is coming to support it.

What have you done for your country lately other than pay taxes?

This guy actually did something to preserve our freedom. That why there are benefits available to vetrans and Senior citizens who have paid taxes their whole life.

When you do something to better this country other than sucking off the TeeT of liberty then you can complain.

How do you know he doesn't have private insurance? Not all vets choose to go the VA route.

I applaud this marine for standing up for what he believes in. My favorite part was when he brought up the reference to brown shirts. The guys says, "I never said that." And in the same breath said, "I apologized for that." Classic.

Calling the VA in any way "good" health care, excellent health care, or anything that he should be glad to get is a complete overstatement. It's probably the best example of why the Government should NOT be in the business of health care.

It's an embarrassment.

That is no so, as long as you visit a veterans hospital, you get free health care.

But in my husband case and me, under run health care Tricare humanawe pay premiums and deductibles as private run insurance and when we need to see a "specialist" outside our primary doctor it needs to be approved, so hey I have a very pretty idea how The propose government health care bill will be run.

Read my lips, is not free

Just because he was in the military doesn't mean that he absolutely has to use his VA insurance. It's entirely possible that he has another, better plan that he and his family use.

Yes, here in Germany, there is "universal healthcare". The way that it works though is other than how you probably think. It's not free at all. Everyone is required to get insurance [which the government doesn't run it either...the private insurance companies do. I bet that makes them happy!]. Then, when you work, you simply have the money taken out to pay for the cost of the insurance. Rich people have a higher percentage taken out from their earnings to cover the cost of unemployed and low income workers.

I don't know how it works in all the other countries, but, I'd bet it's the same or similar. [As a side note, due to the economic crisis, the health insurance program here is running out of money as, not enough people are paying into it. That's a downside to universal healthcare that I don't think I've ever seen anyone mention.]
