Resources aren't going anywhere. There is very conservatively still 300 years of petroleum in the ground.

Nuclear is available, and only requires that people feel that what they have is threatened for them to decide to use Nuclear Energy. There is coal. There is an ever increasingly technologically sound solar.

Energy is an engineering issue, not a resources one. Hydrocarbons just happen to be cheap.

The issue remains as it has been for all of time - transportation of goods. Control of supply. The Silk Road is still the Silk Road.

The USA doesn't have to sew up what is in the Balkans and the ME for petroleum production. They have petroleum, but honestly in the long run it makes more sense to use up everyone else's FIRST and be the only one with any left and the best means to get at it.

It isn't just about oil.

The resource age has just begun, it isn't just coming to an end. Look up above your head at night, and you'll see that resources are literally infinite.

However, what is different about today than yesteryears?

There are only a few main ideologies, left. Infowars didn't take the idea far enough.

Many thought forms - cultures, societies, languages, family types, measurements, religions, even particular types of humans body-minds have gone extinct. Most of them actually.

The main competing thought forms that make up how humans perceive, act, emote, converse, visualize, censor, have been honed to sharp points. Those that couldn't make it have been shed away.

Now, the next wars are NOT about religion - though they will involve religion. They aren't about water, or oil.

No. The wars coming are about what it means to be human.

Like the argument with your wife about the toothpaste cap, it isn't really about the toothpaste cap.

The thought forms that define us have shed away what couldn't adapt. They've been assimilated, and adapted, extincted, and oppressed. And what is left will either die off or find a way to co-exist but not until they've competed directly to determine what memes control which human endevours.

Resources are not the real story. Resources are an engineering issue, that can be overcome with innovation and diversification.

Thoughts - those people kill Worlds peoples for.
