...and yet there are hardly ever any chemtrails in los angeles...
Because "chemtrails" are a myth...
... where as the sky is full of it over the rural town of palmdale...
Really? SO, these allegedly bad "chemtrails" aren't "sprayed" over the major metropolitan area of LA, but North, in the High desert....where,
BTW, there are Military installations, and the Los Angeles ARTCC (Air Route Traffic Contorl Center) facilites are located???
Sorta throws the "chemtrail" theories all in disarray, huh? "Poisoning" jackalopes, are they??
Since you live in LA, you should know the prevailing surface winds are generally from the West, at least where LAX is located, near the beach and El
Segundo. Hint: Airport runways are designed and BUILT to favor the normal wind direction.
Upper level, high-altitude winds are generally from the West as well, but like weather, they will differ from day to day, direction and velocity. So
do humidity levels, temperatues, etc.
Lack of contrails is most likely because of the geographical location of LA, and other cities in California and elsewhere, relative to any air traffic
transiting overhead.
There is a system of Mainland/Hawaii parallel tracks, anchored near the West Coast at various locations, so some Eastbound/Westbound flights that are
on the tracks that transit the LA area might leave contrails, sometimes. OR, there are the largely North/South flights, from say, SAN to SFO, PDX or
SEA (and others) that will pass overhead. AND pass over Palmdale....
