I guess that really depends how you define green. That is one of the big problems with environmentalists is they can't even get their own versions of the story right.

Is nuclear power green? I believe it is. However, why are there environmentalist protests around them? Why are lobbyists pressuring the US to make sure they don't build anymore?

The people trying to "clean up the world" are the same people preventing the government from doing it right.

The true goal (this is covered in several other posts with regards to recent news stories) is that certain individuals leading these movements stated they want to decrease industry, and have been falsifying data to make their points. The politicians "believe" the person who gives them the most money.

That is what it all boils down to. We can't fix the problem without either yielding to their demands and destroying the progress we have made as a civlization, or being "unenvironmental". The whole thing is a scam to make money for individuals in charge - and this goes for (alleged) environmentalists as welll as politicians.

now lets check the carbon foot print of the volcanoes that erupt in one year... Also the amount of methane realeased from the sea floor every year. All grazing animals fart.... if it werent cows it would be something else living on the land taken up by cities and factorys.

You will find that human produced greenhouse gasses are quite insignificant.

How long does the earth get before an asteroid resets the whole game anyway?
