Thanks for posting your picture, deejayiwan.

Those aren't Mustangs. I'll have a quick look around & see if I can ID the planes for you.

I've not seen the picture before. It looks "sus" to me.

Here's a good site you can use to find a match for the plans.

www.daveswarbirds.com...

The Grunman Avenger appeared to be a reasonable match. I the planes are something similar to that.

I traced the image back to Worth1000.com, a photoshop/image manipulation website.
This particular image was entered into the 'Unexplained Mysteries' contest.

Thanks for sharing, never seen that picture before:

Regarding the airplanes, while i'm not an expert i'd say that they are some TBF Avenger squadron.

The model of the airplanes is very important in this case, also in order to track down the original image.

Look up.....

I just edited my post to say the same thing.

I think it might be the Avenger.

yep, those are Avenger planes all right...

but for the pic, i wisited worth1000.com, and that picture is i suppose submited as original, not edited...

i had that pic way back from 2004, so i doubt it was edited.....

MAYBE now i remember where i saw that pic: if someone has a copy of Charles Berlitz's "The Bermuda Triangle" should check the chapter talking about Charles Taylor's squadron disappearance. I could be wrong though.

It says "creator Comments" directly under the picture.

Then the commentary ends & it says:

[
"Flight 19 By steveo for the Unexplained Mysteries contest".

But hey.......keep looking

Like I said to a few times now, just be careful not to keep posting dubious material, or people will stop visiting your threads.

Kind regards

So you think that the "photoshopped" version of the pic is the one sans ufo?
If yes, why? And what would be the purpose? And who would do that?
In my opinion, if we just THINK about it, it's blatanty obvious that the ufo was added after, since the image with the ufo laks details that are visible in the one without it. In my humble opinion it's a matter or reason, logic and common sense, but i could be wrong though

Yeah, if you look carefully at the animation internos provided where both pictures are overlaped you will notice that the light coming from the supposed UFO interferes with the front side of the airplane. Here's an animation of my own:

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/b9a8b8972548.gif[/atsimg]

If the plane was being affected by the light of that UFO to such extent on this side you would see shadows - not blurry white light.

This to me proves without a doubt that the original is the one without the UFO.

Thanks for bringing the thread and material up deejay

And by the way - that is one beautiful picture.

Cheers.

It looks much like most of the other hoaxes. Probably a hoax.
