I am surprised at how much money has been put into homeopathy in this country. I really don't understand how it can work other than a placebo effect. Yet people seem to put their faith into it.

It's not placebo. Homeopathy is perfectly valid and just as effective (but much less painful/expensive in all respects) as allopathy. You just bought allopathy stock is all.
