the next race will be much more interesting in my opinion...not so one sided..unless something drastically changes in the next 3 years and America gets attacked or something...approval ratings always skyrocket on the outset of war...

That comment is way to close to the truth. Scary. Very scary.

And I every time I see someone blaming Obama again. Is he building or digging? is he or ? or ? We are each welcome to our own views in our "make your own reality" world. Only time will tell if the shovel you think he wielding is undermining or laying a foundation.

Yes, of course his presidency is over.
Can you believe what he said to the old people complaining about
ObamaCare nightmare? Did he forget? Old people vote.
"I don't mind fixing the problem. Just shut up while i ram this
quick fix through the House and the Senate."
Throw it out. Start over.

Maybe he should resign and let Joe Biden take over.

Frankly these partisan lists are a little silly...

I understand the propaganda/ political/ rhetorical value behind long lists of opinions mixed with BS with a fact thown in here or there.

Really who has the energy to respond item by item or investigate, but geez.

I will pick just a few items

(1) If he passes health reform by sidestepping the Republicans, he will lose a lot of political capital.

(2) If he passes health reform without the main base of the Democrats, he also loses a lot of political capital.

Okay Opinion, not fact, but worthwhile discussing. If he passes Healthcare reform then his political capital will be dependent on its success. Not who voted with him or against him. that is my opinion.

Also ...if healthcare reform passes...then 3 years from now anyone who voted for or against it will have to answer to the voters in accordance with how successful it is.

8 years from now, no one will remember who was for or against.
Just my opinioin.

(4) He has been on a world tour since he became president.

It is only viewed as a "world Tour" in comparison to his predecessor. Diplomatic relations with the world is a good and neccessary thing and he has fences to mend.

(5) He is not fully involved in creating the health care bill.

I am not sure I would be comfortable if it was entirely his idea alone...not sure what you are getting at.

(6) Media is now reporting a disconnect between the White House and Voters.

(7) He over exposed himself to the public.

He's the POTUS...I am not sure what this means.

(9) Warren Buffet went on the air today and told Obama to stop spending, or we will become a Banana Republic.

Not accurate. Warren warned CONGRESS about increasing the DEFICIT.
NOT OBAMA to stop SPENDING.

You can spend without increasing the deficit as long as you make up for it with cost reduction someplace else or increased taxes.
FYI - We can debate the veracity of the accounting, but the healthcare reform proposal is designed to budget neutral through cost reduction measures (red pen) and taxes on the wealthy ..incomes over 280k for an ind. and 310k for a family.

(11) Cash for clunker is a disaster.

Everything I am reading suggests the opposite. Confused..

'Cash-for-clunkers' gets credit as car sales skyrocket in July
www.usatoday.com...

Car dealers applaud clunkers program as big shot in the arm
www.usatoday.com...

Cash for Clunkers in High Gear
www-cdn.npr.org...

I have no doubt that pretty soon the car dealers across America will be labled as Socialists by the GOP for applauding the Cash-for-Clunkers program.

As for the rest of your list ...well It gets old going point by point...which is of course why these lists are posted...to avoid specific scrutiny.

Even though he may get his health reform, 70% of the voters already like what they have.

[edit on 19-8-2009 by Pathos]

You are referring to this poll by Rasmussen..
70% of Insured Rate Health Insurance Coverage As Good or Excellent
www.rasmussenreports.com... ellent

* 70% of those WITH health insurance like their coverage according to this one poll. ...not 70% of voters.
This same poll also shows...

one-out-of-four Americans (26%) say that health care costs have at some point caused them to miss credit card, rent or mortgage payments. That figure includes 21% of those with health insurance.

63% of voters agree with President Obama that “we must make it a priority to give every single American quality affordable health care.”

Don't "break out the booze" quite yet. What do we get if Obama gets impeached or retires, etc.? President Biden. No bell-ringer there, I'd say.

You speak of a one term stint for Obama. That still leaves 3 years and 5 months to work their game of deceit and death on the American people.

If we really do make it through the rest of the Obama term, keeping a thread of freedoms intact as a nation, what then? Elect a Republican? As I recall, that didn't prove to be desirable last time. A new congress? Come on.

Let's face it folks, the old idea of a dual party leadership has failed. The congress, executive and judicial system is so corrupted it CANNOT be salvaged, reformed or refined.

To talk like all we have to do is change administrations is to deny reality. All that will save us now is a well informed and freedom hungry populace ready to "put it all on the line". Sorry, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I wish I could be more positive...and I HOPE I am wrong! TPTB are "smelling blood" and they've become very bold. They don't need "positive polls". Raw power and the willingness to use it is what it's all about now. And they've got that.

Time to forget about pie-in-the-sky hopes about the next election. There ain't gonna be a next election or next President unless freedom loving people unite and REVOLT!

We won't have to impeach Obama if he resigns.
Give Joe a chance.
That sounds like a cool bumper sticker. Hmmmmm......
