Two people believed to be connected to the bombings have been arrested, an official with the Iraqi army told CNN.

The two suspects were driving in a car rigged with explosives before they were arrested by Iraqi Security Forces, the official said.

The two suspects were believed to be al Qaeda in Iraq senior leaders, the official said.

The United States pulled its combat troops from Iraqi cities and towns on June 30, leaving security responsibilities to the Iraqis. The U.S. military remains in a training and advisory capacity in those areas and continues to conduct combat operations outside cities and towns.

Oh man....I'm glad you showed me this. With our troops leaving Iraq, or er...just being 'advisors' now, the violence sure has kicked up. That Al Qaeda needs someone to teach them a lesson. Our boys better stop packing up and get them boots back on the ground so we can save the Iraqi people and make sure them terrorists don't get US again.

It never ends.

One thing you must remember with Intel agencies is that there is no truth.

So saying it was AQ in Iraq may not exactly be true.
And blaming the CIA or whatever random agency may not exactly be true either.

There are alternative explanations. Reality always comes out different after all.

There were pics though, and the bomb blast looked massive.

A bit smaller than the Oklahoma City incident though. But a large building was damaged and tons of cars were ripped up.

Well, I don't have any numbers, but here's a good idea of what life was like a mere 2 weeks before the invasion. Should give you a good idea...

The U.S. Government does nothing but creates terrorists, internationally and domestically.

See this video is the perfect example of ignorant people.

And thank god it's still financed and owned by the people through their government - something the government with its corrupt officials in the UK wants to rid. It wants to privatize the state owned TV. Which for a government is either signs of madness or method in madness.

Al Qaeda is indeed a scam. The talibans are very much real but the terrorist organisation known as Al Qaeda was a very minor player in anything. So minor that the Talibans swore to give up Bin Laden if the US showed proof of his involvement in 9/11. They invaded instead. Now this doesn't prove (nor does it matter) that the gov did 9/11. It just means that what ever happend on 9/11 came well in time for the invasion that was so dearly wanted of both Iraq and Afghanistan.
