The site is the brainchild of virologist Ab Osterhaus of the University of Rotterdam, and flu experts have heaped praise on the game.

John Oxford, professor of virology at Queen Mary's School of Medicine London, said: "It's a wonderful idea - both experts and the general public should try it."
