Healthy food obsession sparks rise in new eating disorder

Eating disorder charities are reporting a rise in the number of people suffering from a serious psychological condition characterised by an obsession with healthy eating.

The condition, orthorexia nervosa, affects equal numbers of men and women, but sufferers tend to be aged over 30, middle-class and well-educated.

The condition was named by a Californian doctor, Steven Bratman, in 1997, and is described as a "fixation on righteous eating". Until a few years ago, there were so few sufferers that doctors usually included them under the catch-all label of "Ednos" – eating disorders n

This is getting rediculous... I'd venture to guess this is an indirect end run around toward propaganda to further the up and coming codex alimentarius crap that is due to slam into our lives at the end of this year.

So now anyone who wants to be healthy is insane and needs to be treated, medicated, observed, and intruded upon.

You want to take vitamins? You are insane! You don't eat fast food!? What are you a communist or somthing? You take a protein suppliments and train in a gym? AL figgin Qaeda! This world is really starting to get just plain stupid.. I'm looking for that stargate in Peru dammit...
