but the fact is that illegals are getting tons of free health care now and under Obamacare they'll continue to be leeching off our tax money. Frank failed to state how he'd be able to keep the illegals from getting Obamacare.

Please STOP spewing DISINFO.

THE POLL: 55 percent expect the overhaul will give coverage to illegal immigrants; 34 percent don't.

THE FACTS: The proposals being negotiated do not provide coverage for illegal immigrants.

FACT CHECK: Health overhaul myths taking root

1. Polls mean nothing.

2.

The bills circulating the House don't specify one way or the other.. of course, neither does Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps etc either. None of them say "No illegals, yes illegals" .. It just is what it is. If you think the hospitals and clinics would turn away illegals just because this bill passes, HA .. what a joke.

I wanna know specifically what will be done to keep every illegal out of our health care system.

I'll repeat as before. Federal law demands medical treatment of people who are in an emergency regardless of where they are from. out of 20 million illegal aliens, most of whom are uneducated semi-slave laborers, I'd suspect some pretty high numbers of emergencies occurring.

It doesn't matter what the news says. Common sense dictates that uneducated workers treated like slaves are going to have a large percentage of medical problems, and that federal law demands care for them

It will happen.

But personally I don't see a problem because I'm a Catholic right wing nut job and dare to believe all people deserve protection of their lives.

Theres a difference between real emergencies, like a car accident, stabbing, chronic illness..

It's another thing when the ER is being used by Illegals to get aspirin. They use it like we would use a primary care provider.. and the Hospitals can't turn them away. Now with Obama's plan the Illegals will even get the primary care provider.

You invited me to this thread as you insinuated "my buddy" was getting trounced.

Funny I see it is YOU getting pwnd. As per your invite, I will review the thread, read each post and contribute at my leisure.

BTW, I'm not a huge fan of Mr. Frank, so my answer may surprise you. I don't subscribe to wholesale devotion or blind allegiance as you infer.

Thanks.

The poll illustrates the degree of misconception, not a basis of fact.

Is Duh a word?

exactly why polls mean nothing. Also, I merit something as having some merit of proof once around 20% of the nation believes it. It may not be 100% true, but once a 5th of the nation believes it, that's big enough for me to consider it has some basis.

It is a MYTH.

The fact that people believe it, doesn't make it so. (religion, ghosts, ufo's etc.)

It's not a myth? Do you seriously think Illegal immigrants won't be on the plan??? They won't benefit??
That's like saying they don't collect food stamps, get tax returns for their children, have medicare, medicaid, social security and receive discount son college tuition.

Both parties lurv the Mexicans.

When I see this man, my impression of him is that he was abused as a baby, in more ways than one, and that he lives in a trailer, not even anchored properly to the ground, and there's hub caps and beer cans, oh and old tires all around his little home.

And mother still beats the crap out of him.

Ironically, this is another example of CNN editing and spinning footage to suit their needs... I was just saying how CNN edited their footage in order to mislead the viewer... .

Well uh...

I was just saying how FOX edited footage in order to mislead the viewer...

As in they did not include the ridiculous asinine prior to deputy dogs responses.

The rampant bias and ignorance on this forum can be appalling at times.

Just a quick FACT CHECK of one of the above FALSE ACCUSATIONS:

SSI requirement of eligibility:

is a U.S. citizen or national, or in one of certain categories of aliens; and

In general, an alien who is subject to an active warrant for deportation or removal does not meet the citizenship/alien requirement.

www.ssa.gov...

i.e. "illegal" aliens ARE NOT eligible to collect Social Security

I'm not quite sure what fuels such ignorance, but there seems to be an infinite supply.

Illegal aliens are destroying health care establishments in this country!
If just five percent of the average hospitals revenue was not being collected
it would seriously effect the bottom line.
Has anyone seen or heard of anyone doing a correlation on the
number of illegals treated over say the past twenty or so years and
the amount of bad debts these corporations have had to absorb. It
seems to me a logical assumption that this would be the case.

The fact is we're paying for their healthcare already in the form of
increasing insurance premiums that are required to offset hospitals
increasing losses. Capitalism doesn't work without capital. Illegal
aliens came here from somewhere we can't just send them back or
refuse to treat them under our current laws.
More illegals means more losses for the healthcare companies ,it's as
simple as that.
We should arrange some kind of chargeback settlement from their
home country or even their families. You can't get water from a stone
but if their home country has socialized medicine already that means
they have the wherewithall to provide care for their citizens. Let's
make it reciprocal no matter what country they are from. At least we
would get something for the care we are providing!

Pre-existing conditions is another stumbling block for our present
system and a much tougher issue to handle.
Does anybody think it is fair for people to be denied healthcare
because someone got sick and is being treated then decides to get a
better job and has to switch providers?

A law simply needs to be passed that would make it mandatory for an
insurance company to continue to pay for the necessary treatments
as long as the patient or employer continues to pay the premiums.
Your insurance provider should remain your provider even if you
change jobs. You don't need twelve hundred pages to do that!

Yes he seems to be one of the more openly criminal and unrepentant members of federal mafia.

Does he think that anyone likes him, much less that he'll get reelected with the total disrespect he shows for the average person?
