Hmm. Never one to run away from a good anonymous argument.
I don't see that what's going on in America is any of your business, if you don't live here.
Yes, what does go on in the US concerns those who don't live there because it affects us, usually in brutal, ugly and violent ways. And if you reply that you don't care about that, you basically have proven my point.

I'm not interested in changing the Canadian or UK health care system. Why are you so interested in changing mine?

First of all the United States is a Republic founded on a constitution which strictly limits the authority and scope of the federal government. The idea of socialism, which you enjoy is strictly speaking slavery, as under socialism everyone has some claim to everyone else's life. Their labor, their moneuy, their lives are not their own but property of some nameless mass of government/people/whatever. The definition of slavery is...
slav·er·y (slv-r, slvr)
n. pl. slav·er·ies
1. The state of one bound in servitude as the property of a slaveholder or household.
2.
a. The practice of owning slaves.
b. A mode of production in which slaves constitute the principal work force.
3. The condition of being subject or addicted to a specified influence.
4. A condition of hard work and subjection: wage slavery.
Check numbers 1 and 3 and then when you understand the english language come back and argue how you're not a slave. We the American people do not wish to be slaves, as this is the US and not Canada, we don;t give a crap what you do, you an have a big socialist slavery party and practice humans sacrifice all you wish, for us we prefer freedom.

Being an AMERICAN I do not care what your opinion is concerning the policies of OUR country. You may be happy with socialism, I'm happy for you. You have not experienced the true freedom we are used to having because you have not had the privilege of living in the United States. We patriots are not willing to so willing give up our hard fought for freedoms because we know the only way we will get them back is by the shedding of precious blood. If you are willing to compromise so be it. Join the rest of the world. But as for TRUE AMERICANS we choose to keep our freedoms.

The world needs to wake up. I don't care if you hated that we invaded Iraq, I don't care if you hate our anti-socialistic ways, and I don't care if you hate our way of life. If you do not like it in America, don't make plans to vacation here.

I can't take it anymore, America in intellectually bankrupt. Americans have absolutely no concept of how good they have it and are even more ignorant (if that's possible) of even the simplest government policies of their neighbors.

Every time I hear Americans call their president, and worse, their fellow Americans, socialists in a derogatory manor, I cringe and bite my lip.
So now we know why the president wants everyone to make nice in the healthcare debate. His White House has cut a deal with Big Pharma that smells like the same old rotten politics that candidate Obama regularly denounced and promised to end. The drug industry agrees to deliver $80 billion in future savings and the president promises the government will not use its awesome purchasing power to negotiate lower drug prices.

Believe it or not, America is in the minority in being against social initiatives, most notably, health care. The rest of the developed world is not "imploding" under the stress of "socialist rule", we're happy the way things are and in fact we even voted these policies into law, democratically!

Overhauling health-care system tops agenda at annual meeting of Canada's doctors
By Jennifer Graham (CP) – 2 days ago
SASKATOON — The incoming president of the Canadian Medical Association says this country's health-care system is sick and doctors need to develop a plan to cure it.
Dr. Anne Doig says patients are getting less than optimal care and she adds that physicians from across the country - who will gather in Saskatoon on Sunday for their annual meeting - recognize that changes must be made.
"We all agree that the system is imploding, we all agree that things are more precarious than perhaps Canadians realize," Doing said in an interview with The Canadian Press.

All these "Americans" holding up signs of president Obama with a Hitler mustache and equating him with Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and Hitler himself at these town hall meetings are idiots beyond help. They are not "patriots", they're ignorant morons and this is from someone that really doesn't care if your government is run by democrats, republicans or real fascists at this point.

When the elections in America were still being held, I'll admit, I cared who won. I cared because, like it or not, American policies shape the world and I genuinely care about the welfare of the people of our planet as a whole.

I am in support, however, of Obama's push for socialized health care in America.

America is not the only country in the world, what you say does reach people outside of your boarders and quite frankly a large chunk of you come off as children, and that's being generous.

Some of you should think long and hard about that before posting something stupid.

Starred and flagged. WELL SAID!
OK, I'm 100% behind Obama, mainly for the reasons you suggest.
To hear the misinformed, morally and educationally bankrupt little redneck racist muppets slagging off countries they don't have a clue about boils my blood.
Those people should hang their ignorant heads in shame. Sadly, I suspect they're too dumb to realise just how wrong they are.
