The Hospital does not pay unless the patient screws up or has the money and lies? To many partisan articles?

For a graphic example -

A friend who used to work for me called from Fargo a few months ago. His health is bad and he is a couple of years from retirement. He could find no work in Fargo.

I flew him up, gave him a part time job which is all he could handle in his state of health. He thought the same as you.

I convinced him he was wrong and challenged him to find out.

He went in and filled out the paper work at the hospital. He had to go to the IRS office and document his income. They gave him a once over to verify his health. He did the whole song and dance and guess what; it worked.

He now has a regular MD at the Hospitals Clinic. He pays only pennies on the dollar. He has had many thousands in tests and procedures that cost him nothing and the Hospital is being paid.

He could have believed the political crap and waited for an emergency. Then he could have failed to do the paperwork and follow through. That is what is hurting the Hospitals. Pure apathy.

Of course there is a side of this I agree with. If everyone who could get their care payed for actually did it, the system would go bankrupt I'd bet. I do believe our leaders know that many will not take advantage.

I guarantee you that the Illegals know how to use the system instead of fighting it. To the tune of billions I'm sure. To bad many of our fellow citizens are to illiterate or apathetic to do things right.

This system could be fixed without destroying it and giving us the same crappy care that single payer countries have. They have other motives I'm afraid.

For the most-part I agree with everything you said. But you can take your "Americans" and cram it right back in that big fat pie hole you just opened.

Specify to whom you're speaking. Because, when you say "American" - well, you're talking about me. And I'm not your scape-goat "American" to which you're referring.

You're preaching to the choir if you're referring to over-zealous "Republicans" who can't even accept the legitimacy of their President. Or, if you're referring to those "Democrats" who're disenfranchised with the system as a whole and want to see a lot less of Big Brother and the Old Boy's Club that's had it's hand in the pot for about a century or more. Or if you're speaking of any absent minded Americans out there who REALLY do think there's a difference in Red or Blue Politics in general when it comes to how this country really operates.

I can relate. I don't like them much either. But, you better start speaking up about to which you're referring, because I'll stand with you night and day and argue over whether a Government Health Plan is going to make our Health Care System a lot worse. It may work fine in Paris or Canada, but this is America, buddy and our system is far too corrupt to "Improve" what we have now. Health Care in this country is outrageously expensive. To start a government program that's to "Compete" with the Corporately Owned private sector will drive prices higher in the future and mandate MINIMAL care. It's Capitalism at it's finest and it's going to SUCK BAD. I'm happy that your health care system in Canada is treating you just dandy. Happy Days. But, it stands to make our country a lot worse for the ware.

P.S. I have no love for Obama. I voted for him. I don't think socialists are bad people. I don't like Capitalism. I'm an American.

Canada does it. Australia does it. Europe does it.

So why can't we americans get with the program?

Here in New Mexico, the hispanics help the illegals get that paperwork filled out. They suggest it to them at the hospital, but if you are anglo, you are # out of luck. They will tell you directly that there is nothing to help you financially, and that you are basically # out of luck.

Agreed but the world as a whole is tilted in favor of those with the money and the influence the Elite have on the so called "Elected" governments of the world is more than just a little. Agreed but this has been going on for a long while, in many other countries aren't representations of "enemy" politicians immolated? My point is that in a place as divided as America (and this division is no accident, but is manufactured half by the Elite and half by people's own ignorance) this should not come as a surprise. They want to stir people's irrational emotions and anger them so they make these wild off base accusations about Hitler and such...

When the elections in America were still being held, I'll admit, I cared who won. I cared because, like it or not, American policies shape the world and I genuinely care about the welfare of the people of our planet as a whole. I hoped that Obama would win because, at the time, he seemed to me as the world's best possible hope for, at the very least, a de-escalation in tensions world round. After he took office, I'll also concede, I was disappointed in his lack of initiative. He said he would end the "war on terror" and he's done nothing of the sort. If anything he's scaling it up and taken Canadian and British troops, amoung many others, with him on his fruitless, imperialist conquests. I am not a supporter of Barack Obama, nor many of his policies, but he was and still is, the lesser of two evils.

Honestly part of me hopes that America falls even farther out of leadership of the world, we've done a terrible job thus far of "leading the world" and although I love this Country I really think we need to look for some new ideas even if they come from outside the states. I also agree Obama seems the lesser of two evils but again any of the Republicrat choices would have been puppets no matter what...

America is not the only country in the world, what you say does reach people outside of your boarders and quite frankly a large chunk of you come off as children, and that's being generous.

This country is built on pride, ethnocentrism, blind patriotism, and sheer arrogance. We are children, we are a nation of fat little spoiled brats throwing hissy fits all the while our attitudes controlled and swayed by the unseen indoctrination of the "parent" (Elite)...

Actually Hitler did reform healthcare in the same way the Obama administration wants..

We have EVEN POSTED FROM OBAMA'S MOUTH ITSELF, that elder Americans, and other "undesirables" shouldn't have operations if the government doesn't think it will help them, or get certain treatments, and they should just keep swallowing some pills...

This is what Eugenics is all about, which BTW the Germans did not start the eugenics movement, in fact IT STARTED IN AMERICA WELL BEFORE IN GERMANY, but the Germans believed it, and accepted it through Hitler.

That's why many Americans are seeing the similarities between Hitler and the entire Obama administration... Even the science czar of Obama IS A DIE HARD EUGENICS PROPONENT...as well as several other members of the current U.S. administration.

I even excerpted the statements from another Liberal Democrat Supreme Court Justice who said it herself that the government should get involved in not allowing certain parts of the population not to have more "undesirables", and the Obama administration ahs put in power people who believe in this mindset, and who want to give the U.S. sovereignty over to the UN, and for the UN to control us...

I am getting tired of having to search for links and videos for people who keep claiming "all of this is lies" yet they obviously are ignorant to a fault since they havent even listened, or read what is being proposed by the Obama administration itself for healthcare reform among other CHANGES...

READ what is being proposed, and WATCH the links to video which have been given several times in which the Obama administration clearly state what they want to do with healthcare reform.

Instead i just see people like you jump in the bandwagon, and "support this without knowing one iota of knowledge about what sort of reforms are being proposed by the Obama administration...

This is the same mentality which voted the current administration in power, believing that the word "CHANGE" would bring only good things without knowing, or even asking anything about what sort of CHANGES the administration wanted to implement...
