If I wanted to transport a samurai sword from England into London, how would I go about doing so, so as to avoid the 'concealed weapons' law?
Thanksss

I'd buy one of those large cardboard tubes that are usually used for posting bulky items. My own Katana was delivered in one of those.

I remember walking through Inverness with a claymore once and no-one batted an eyelid. Different times now though.

I suppose I can use the original box it came in..
Though does that cover me legally?

Where exactly are you transporting it from - and how are you travelling ? ... if you're in a private car, I cant see any problems. (I drove from Inverness to Walsall with an uncovered Claymore) If you're using a train, you should keep it covered.

I can't see it being a problem, but if you want to be certain, you could always ask the local cops what the situation is.
