This is an interesting article on the military involvement with the upcoming flu vaccination.
Of particular note is that Secretary Gates is going to sign an executive order implementing the military involvement. This means a Secretary will supersede a President.

This action must be a proactive response to what many are expecting, and that is a very fatal flu season in which millions of us are going to die.
I dont like the way the organization is going. First we get no main media coverage of this, so when it happens there could be some anxiety among us common people. When we see military involvement in a vaccination program, the connotations are endless, but the book 1984 comes to mind. This is not to mention what seems to be a untested vaccine being administered to millions of people worldwide, and the fact that there will be a death toll associated with the vaccine itself.
I guess we will see what happens soon since the flu season is upon us.
