I believe the more things that are free for EVERYONE, the closer I'm abiding by the constitution. You don't know till you try.
You can believe what you want, but at the end of the day you have no idea what the constitution is about, nor are you even close.
It's a system of limited government. It's been flipped around for the past 100 years into a system of limited rights. You think the constitution
is a bunch of things government can't do, but in reality it's a list of the things they are supposed to do. And part of your bill of rights -
which you obviously do not even know is for anything not listed to automatically be handed down to the states, local, and then down to you. This is
called the 10th amendment, and combined with the 9th amendment is supposed to create a lock on things.
See, when they were creating the constitution, there was a debate. 1 side of the debate wanted to list rights, so that they could never be infringed
upon. The other side didn't want to list any rights at all, for fear of 1 day being reduced to only those rights. So, the solution was the 9th
and 10th amendments. The 9th amendment says that you can't add things that take away from a previously given right, and the 10th amendment says
anything not listed is by default off limits.
Those things can be picked up by the lower governments, and in many cases it is perfectly fine when they do. When it is in the lower governments,
you vote more often, you vote among a less amount of people, and so it is easier to get change and fix the problems. You also get many programs
going at once, which allows for new things to be tried all the time. When something works in 1 area, say traffic lights, the other communities pick
it up and add it. When something doesn't work, then only that community or state suffers, and they have 49 other programs to draw upon for how to
best fix the problem. This is "decentralization" or power to the people.
But today, they have bypassed the loop of the 9th and 10th amendments, thereby infringing on your most basic rights, or "freedoms" through the
general welfare clause, which is actually the part of the constitution that gives the federal government the power to uphold the amendments, as the
other place the words "general welfare" is mentioned is in the preamble of the constitution, which lays out the purpose of the constitution.
Which is quite wonderful btw. Because when you add things with amendments, they by default become universal to everyone. Where as with the general
welfare clause, they simply do whatever they want giving special rights to special people - usually corporations and all they have to do is "spin"
it for being "for the good".
If they really wanted universal healthcare, education or other things, they would simply be passing amendments like "healthcare shall be provide to
all", and since it's an amendment they now have permission to do it as per the 10th amendment, and as it becomes a right then it's automatically
given to everyone equally. I still think it's a dumb idea, but that is the proper way to do it - not that any of the politicians really care,
because they just really want to be able to funnel money/power to those who support whatever crazy agenda they have to leech off the people.
And I haven't even hit on the gross loss of rights being taken away, such as the right to an honest monetary system, habeus corpus and tons of
others.
I wasn't a liberal commie lover(among the nicer things called) 7 years ago when I was against the Iraq war and things going on, and I'm not some
redneck, gun toting racist redneck today. But you'll never know that, or really much of anything because all you seem to know is how to apply
the labels you pick up off the tv and insult people like you are in the 8th grade repeating the talking points you received from your
daily
programming.
So, you can either take the time to educate yourself on the system and why it's worth speaking up for, or you can continue along with the stupidity.
But you bring that stuff around me, and I'm going to show just how ignorant the crap is.
