Wow - you are really invested in your us-vs-them ideology aren't you? This has to be the 5th "Oh no! ATS has been invaded by republicans! Run for the hills! Do something about it! Shut them up!!!!!" thread in the past week & a half. Now that Obama has been elected all of a sudden I am a conservative republican. It's hilarious if you ask me. Anti-Governemnt/ Anti-Obama != Republican. There has been no change, there has been no transparency and there won't be while you continue to cling to your broken distraction deadlock that sets out to never accomplish anything and succeeds admirably.

The only thing you are doing is justifying your own extreme behavior in the future. "The right is using every single dirty-handed tactic and winning! We have to do the same! Shut them up!"

All I hear from the liberal side of the fence now is "Shut them up!" and "waah! Waah! I thought we were supposed to be in charge now!"

It's so easy for you to just say "Those damn Republicans!" and lump everybody who disagrees with your narrow ideology into the "them" category. And hey, I can't really blame you, I mean that is all they have been broadcasting on the tv lately and you know what? You are just as bad as the average Fox News watcher.

Sorry bud your just another BRAINWASHED SHEEPLE if you believe what we speak of here is "right wing"!!!!

There is no "right wing" or "democrat" or "republican" it is them and us unfortunately......

I'm going to have to second this. If you think that there are opposing 'teams' and one is better than the other your playing into the farce , the puppet show is just a bungling attempt to manipulate and deceive the people it's what is going on behind the scenes, the stuff brave journalists and researchers are uncovering every day that's the stuff that really matters. Maybe you just got caught on your way down the rabbit hole though, that's just my opinion.

No , she wasn't able to do her job. Handling the ethics process was consuming a majority of her time and costing her money from her family's checkbook, not the State's , to defend herself.

Plus it was taking substantial amount of time in all various deparments in the government to respond to each and every one of them.

Instead of finishing the job she was elected to do and finding ways to get the job done during difficult times, she now is a quitter who couldn't hack the big times. Instead of being a potential VP or POTUS candidate, she's got no serious political career - and rightly so considering how she handled the situation.

She should have become bankrupt pauper? What do you propose she should have done?

And as far as not staying her whole term... well that disqualifes Obama and nearly half his administration since they all quit thier jobs.

NoJoker13,

Are you sure its not hate from Democrats? Questioning any government authority is a good thing.

(1) Are those who are calling Republicans haters - haters themselves?

If you think back to recent history, Democrats were protesting against George Bush. Hillary Clinton went on record saying it was normal to revolt and question those in power.

(2) Could it be that the opposing side has a credible case, and the only way Democrats can win is to declare them as haters, crazies, etc?

I wonder where all this name calling came from? Could it be the media? Could it be the Democrats? Hmm... I am sure the Republicans have issues, but I have one last question.

If President Obama loses the next election, would the minority call the majority racist, haters, and bigots?

Hmmm... Labeling could backfire in the future. Something to think about.

Ok here go two that are floating around some of the front pages:
www.abovetopsecret.com...
www.abovetopsecret.com...

this thread talks about them and refers to one of the links I posted above:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

and I can't find anymore from my quick search, so it's possible I looked those same threads twice. I seem to remember seeing at least one more unique thread on this subject though.

I have of course been following the town hall "debates" concerning healthcare reform and heard this from the "This I Believe" series on the radio....and found it resonating with how I feel about those angrily shouting, but not listening during this public discourse.

It's by financier and elder statesman Bernard Baruch.

Bernard Baruch rose to prominence as a financier and member of the New York Stock Exchange. He advised Presidents Woodrow Wilson during World War I, Franklin Roosevelt during the New Deal and World War II, and Harry Truman in the post-war era.

All men cannot be masters, but none need to be a slave. We cannot cast out pain from the world, but needless suffering we can. Tragedy will be with us in some degree as long as there is life, but misery we can banish.
....

I believe all this because I believe, above all else, in reason—in the power of the human mind to cope with the problems of life.

To nothing so much as the abandonment of reason does humanity owe its sorrows.

Because I place my trust in reason, I place it in the individual. There is a madness in crowds from which even the wisest, caught up in their ranks, are not immune. Stupidity and cruelty are the attributes of the mob, not wisdom and compassion.

Opposition to one democrat leader who the majority here feel is absolutely insane and power hungry neither makes you a right winger, nor necessarily a republican supporter, not a hater of democrats and to say otherwise is simply generalizing and ignorance of your fellow people on this website. I've seen people here who hated Bush continue their hate into Obama.

Once you learn the facts, Obama becomes indifferent to Bush, and as of the last few weeks, seems to be getting worse. And considering the political spectrum from right to left is is 0 government to 100% government, I'd say many republicans are really left wingers as well. And Bush was indeed a left winger. Most of the visual oppositional people in town halls seem to be right wingers in their desire for anarchy and destruction, however I feel from observing people here most are right wing leaning liberals, which to me are the finest people on Earth.

If you ask me, both the right and the left are responsible for making ATS something of a sideshow.

Something along the lines of The Duped vs. The Brainwashed... in a no-holds barred battle of idiocy.

And just like in Washington.. the participants will ignore the fact that the childish sniping between factions is half the problem to begin with.

I'm a DEMOCRAT and I am completely against the HR 3200 or any govt plan on health care.

Your comment that REPUBLICANS have taken over the board and tearing down . . . it's NOT just REPUBLICANS who are repulsed by what is happening.

*Not that there's anything wrooooooong with being a Republican.*

Well thanks mckyle, I'm just proving the point that most here would be against what I said, clearly my point has been proven. I believed I labeled it 90/10... that seems almost sport on maybe 95/5 though.

Politically charged threads, are just that, one side or another, not only one sided.

That is bound to happen when people believe in their side over another.

I can go create one with your same title, based on "left-wing" side show, and get the same exact result, albeit it will be full of left-winger's trashing it.

Are You "Right-Wing Fringe", or "Left-Wing Fringe" and How Will They Push You

Your point is null, it's been brought up here now about well... 50 times. If you go back into my later posts I said I voted for bush because I felt kerry or gore was just ludacris. I was also against the fact that people were calling our president at the time (Bush) a nazi and what not. The point I'm bringing here is the right side is labeling the current office as socialist and telling americans to fear new policy because it's going to bring us back to the stone age and turn us into China/Russia or whatever. The point being here that yes the hate now is coming from that side and they're being much much much more blantent about it then any of the left wing critics during bush's presidency. Also could you tell me one bill bush had trouble passing? You'd be hard pressed to find one. Also the fact that this bill hasn't been passed when the dems have the office and have the senate is a clear view that this fearmongering has worked. I'm saying the healthcare bill won't be passed now, i mean it could've easily been passed in 1 day. But why hasn't it? Where does more then 50% of election donations come from??? Well lets see, could it be endorsement from insurance agencies? Look it up... it is.

So you agree that the growing number of threads here as of late are being caused by the right and in my eyes spreading fear mongering and hate? Read my above post as well.^^

I will hazard a guess, at having read most of his threads, that he would not be inclined to think that.

The "Right" and the "Left" is an illusion for the most part. Very few people are die-hard left/right .. the majority sit somewhere in the middle.

Besides.. it would be a cold day in hell when a Conspiracy website acted like they trust the Government??

I can agree the fact that a conspiracy site wouldn't exactly follow any government. But lebeling him a Nazi or otherwise? Is just ludacris, whatever "side" it's coming from. I also agree no one really has a side anymore, just really the side that pays or the side thats popular.
