An honest to goodness question regarding the NWO/TPTB

Seriously this isn't a flame or a bait...

I see people talking about how we aren't a democracy but a republic...that's quit true but I noticed comments here and elsewhere saying 'thank god we don't have a true democracy'

So here is my question...

If TPTB are so bad...if the NWO is so bad...wouldn't you guys and gals want a real democracy where you could vote? Most of us believe that the TPTB are a small percentage with all the control. Wouldn't it be good if we all had our say and vote in most matters?

Totally curious and very excited to see the answers to this

Now I admit I have some very Socialist tendencies...I mean real Socialism...not what Hitler called Socialism...but I promise I won't take offense to any answer...I am truly that curious
