it was also reported he wanted the murder charges against him to be put on hold for 1 year to allow an Iraqi led prosecution team to pursue him, not an American led. In other words he probably hopes a radical government would not pursue it.

I say to hell with him, if we agree he has essentially shown if you hit us with force we back down. Time to take this dude out before he is reponsible for killing more Americans and innocent civilians.

Take the deal. Or at least listen to it.
Killing just generates martyrs and more killing.
Get in talks with this guy, if you can get him on side, then you get everyone who follows him onside and THAT is how you get rid of terrorists.
If you listen and talk and talk till your blue in the face and still can't see eye to eye, you can always kill him then.
