Very mysterious post on ATS dated 2008 predicting swine flu outbreak.

But what will happen is this: The reintroduction of the new and improved Flu Virus (one part 1918 variety, one part avian version and one part "mystery" genetic modification). Then when people start dropping like flies and the government (CDC) announces that they have the "cure" but (just a little formality so the computer records know who has received the vaccination so they dont repeat it if you are unconscious) you have to take the "chip" which will contain all of your personal ID and medical history.

Let's say this again:

Nice find. I also remember when the alarm first surfaced in late April, early May the media mentioned that this was a possible swine, bird, human flu, but after that initial mention that disappeared. That made me wonder if they finally found a way to cross the avian flu to human thru swine.

Would the antichrist be Donald Rumsfeld who was in charge of DOD and access to 1918 flu samples and also is part owner of the cure for it Tamiflu or so the CDC says.

You used to be able to post anonymously on ATS, and that is the generic avatar for anyone that posted anonymously.

The person that posted it could be anyone.

That poster really even predicted what would happen in how it would happen.

Perhaps the poster had insider knowledge?

One has to put things into context. There are thousands of predictions in the ATS archives, and maybe 99% of them have proven to be inaccurate.

Someone gets it right sometimes just by the law of averages.

This one really appears to be one of those case.

Wouldn't he just hit the nail on the head, on top of calling out the outbreak?

The H1N1 form of swine flu is one of the descendants of the strain that caused the 1918 flu pandemic.

Though I have some medical research background, I haven't actively kept up with all that's going on out there. An immunologist friend tells me what you read reported on in the media is not even the tip of the iceberg. There are so many new mutations and hybrids being discovered in labs worldwide, they don't even bother to name and classify them any more.

The Chinese basically lie about what they discover when they find it compromising. All sorts of new problems in the South and Western parts as millions of poverty stricken have switched from domesticated food source fowl to pigs.

My point was only on how there are hundreds of predictions and how a tiny few will prove to be on the money by chance.

To give this context, where's the very long list of similar detailed predictions that were no shows?

Remember, for every lottery winner there are a million losers.

No one debates you on the fact dingbats come here and throw out predictions.

We are talking about this one, which was so far was right on multiple levels.

If he had only said there would be a flu, I'd be right with you on this one.

Seems you play the odds game, I was only letting you know that after he predicts 2/3 of the major components, that also changes the odds dramatically.

Also, that there are three components by the way which further lowers the odds.

There is talk of mandatory vaccination already, and that would further lower the odds.

There's always an argument about how correct information is. So much of what I read here has a factoid or two grafted on to wild speculation or pure nonsense. Some elements turn out to be factual.

This anonymous poster grabbed the two virus types "avian" and "swine" that were being bandied about last year and came up with a hybrid scenario. He then goes on about it being part of a Revelations prediction, The Mark of the Beast, etc.

I'd say just another loon who had read a recent article.

A battalion of blind archers will hit their targets if you point them in the right direction and wait long enough.
