So when does the flash actually happen Spork ? Before or after impact ?

I'm sure there's a better quality pic on the nets somewhere, but I just screen captured this from a YT video. Take a look at two things here. First, the plane is in the shadow of the building, as it made the approach from the west and the early morning sun was still low in the sky to the east as is easily seen by the sun reflecting off of the south east side of the building. However the plane is seen here in light exhibited by the wings. That doesn't make any sense.

What is more troubling if you look closely is there's already thick black smoke coming from the building on at least two sides, well before the impact. What the heck is that about? The image link is what I captured from the attached video. I'll look to see if there are better examples.

That's easy, the planes in question weren't 747s. They were 757s and 767s, which have much smaller fuselages, and are lighter.
