TANSOR, England -- In the land of Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie, it has fallen to a taxidermist to uncover whether foul play is to blame for the corpse found floating in a lake here late last month: Benson, the legendary 52-pound carp whose untimely death has captivated a nation's anglers.

The way they speak about this fish, has me very worried for that community. This fish was the staple not the sideshow at Bluebell Lakes. if I knew about this fish before it died, I would of tried to see it just once before I died myself. Here at ATS we are known for respect and patience. In this case I hope we can respect the image that Benson represents, while having patience for the people who murdered this fish in cold blood.

Uh how many times was this fish caught? How many years was this fish in the lake? Fish aren't immortal, and a fish that big is going to kick the bucket sooner or latter, and being caught, dragged out of the water, held up and photographs taken of it.

It's just amazing that someone didn't catch the fish and take it home and have it stuffed.
