US Marines storm Taliban-held town in Afghanistan

DAHANEH, Afghanistan – Helicopter-borne U.S. Marines backed by Harrier jets stormed into a Taliban-held town in southern Afghanistan before dawn Wednesday and exchanged heavy fire with insurgents, killing at least seven.

Associated Press journalists traveling with the first wave said militants fired small arms, mortars and rocket-propelled grenades after helicopters dropped the troops over Taliban lines. Fighting lasted more than eight hours, as Harrier jets streaked overhead and dropped flares in a show of force.

This article reveals that the militants ARE receiving intelligence with regards to our Military's movements and plans. I knew it.

But despite the leak and traitors within the American infrastructure those young guys illustrate time and time again that Afghanistan belongs to us. Taliban should recognize.

Wow, wonder why they would just not have destroyed the Opium? Wonder what the US Military will do with that?

They'll probably burn it later, but not until the camera's arrive. I'd imagine that they'd also want things to calm down a bit so they can enjoy the smoke.
