War of Terror over? Then why have dept of homeland security

The end of the Global War on Terror -- or at least the use of that phrase -- has been codified at the Pentagon. Reports that the phrase was being retired have been circulating for some time amongst senior administration officials, and this morning speechwriters and other staff were notified via this e-mail to use "Overseas Contingency Operation" instead.

The department of Homeland Security was from after the attacks of 911. So it the 'war on terror" is over why keep the departement at all?

Those agencies are not there to catch real terrorists. They are there to spy on , suppress and oppress the ordinary american civilian . They will have a function for life , as long as there are ordinary citizens to lay the smack down upon.
