Hi,

I like changing my computers icons. I like things that look cool and nice, so therefore I change the icons on my desktop and some folders etc.

However I've DL'd a few icons that won't work. Why?

What am I doing wrong?

First of all, what is your computer's Operating System?

Different systems have different requirements.

Could you point me to the icons that you downloaded and that do not work?

I should clarify.

They download properly and I can access the files.

However when I go to actually change an Icon, I go into the file of the one that I want to use, but it won't change to that particular icon.

does that make sense?

I'll look for examples.

I use these on my computer (Vista Home Premium)

just downloaded them, unzip the file, right-click the file that you want to change, go to properties, click change icon and find the icons you downloaded.

you probably already know this stuff, but still...

if this doesn't work, it's likely that the icons you downloaded aren't actually in the 'icon filetype' this has happened to me a few times, and gets frustrating, especially when the download took ages...
